I feel for you guys. Did they say when the numbers would come out? Isn't it a 60 day notice for furloughs?

way to go ALPA!!! Glad that the big movement for better pass benefits benefited everyone!!! Oh wait.....it didn't benefit anyone, people will still lose their jobs.

Oh wait again, if forgot i am not a a captain...just an FO. I am sorry, I forgot that we don't get represented and we just pay dues for the hell of it.

There better be some COLAS or Voluntaries this time around.

I am already furloughed, so I have no hope of a recall. I just hope it saves some of my friends' jobs.

Good Luck to Everyone out there.

Sure we're furloughing more pilots. But look at the bright side. At least we'll have more space in JFnK Ops. And it should be easier for those left behind to commute to work. Well, maybe not since they were already boarding before the new furloughed guys.

At least Freedom got jerked out of JFnK before the JFnK cuts happened. I'd hate to see them take Delta to court again for not honoring their contract.

OK, so maybe there's not much of a bright side. But just think of all the cash we've saved Delta using PPAS for the last 4 years. That's always good for a pat on the back.

Don't worry... this time I'm sure you'll see some action. If they furlough another 100-150 pilots, that's 450ish off the bottom of the seniority list. That will certainly begin to affect their lifestyle (GASP! Maybe downgrade to lowly FO!) and cause them to work hard to mitigate as much as they can.

So let me get this straight......Delta just paid a ton of crew members to move from the Cincinnati area. Now they are going to turn around and furlough most of those people. Great business decision. They knew cutbacks were coming and paid to move people anyway. Most of these moves were over 10K.

I see the guys that are already on the street starting to see reality that they will not be called back anytime soon, if ever. Most will move on to bigger and better things outside of part 121.

The guys that are in the 3 to 5 year range are all now being put in jeopardy of a furlough staring them in the face.

Then there are all of the downgrade guys that were downgraded into senior FO positions and were enjoying a nice schedule since they were holding lines and not sitting reserve as junior Captains. Those guys now will trickle down to be the junior FO's and be on reserve as an FO and some will quit.

And then there are the senior folks that have already been complaining about how they can't hold the schedules that they have held after 15 years with the company. Those guys are going to be trickling back to be reserve CA's and some of those guys will quit.

I think Delta is succeeding with their plan. It sucks, but I think it is all in their plan to dismantle Comair. These furloughs are going to happen and then when the airline gets small enough they will merge it with another entity and the people on furloughs will most likely never be given their jobs back.

Please remember that IMSAFE checklist that you learned about in your primary flight training. I think the moral has gotten so low that you guys are going to have to look out for each other. As in, you might feel fit to fly, but the guy next to you may not and have no other choice but to come to work with his head on backwards.

Good luck! I'll keep praying for you guys.
