I emailed JB with a question about this and he flat out told me that this wasn't true. We will go from about 90-95 departures a day to around 70 and CVG will pick up some flying. He forsees a crew base in JFK long term.

I also asked him about the rumor that Comair is going after a $10 million pay cut from the FO's. He said this is not true as well.

He answers his emails and is very accessible. If you have a question, just ask him!

Well RA is JB's boss, so I'll go with RA on this one. I've learned that yes JB has a pretty liberal open door policy, but I dont' take what he says as gospel. This is beyond the winter schedule. Bendo likes to keep it in the near term when he puts out any info. Things can change at will, so we'll just have to wait and see.

The only -900's on our cert are the 13 we currently have.

One thing to note is as of May 2010, Delta can cancel CHQ and S5's contract without cause. Delta has already figured out how much it would cost to assume aircraft leases and/or purchase those aircraft, that are operated by those carriers for DCI; as agreed to in the contract. Now the question is would BB make Delta honor that if the contracts were canceled or would BB keep the aircraft for RAH/YX/F9 flying?
I can see CHQ going over S5 just because the different fleet types ERJ-145 to E-175's. And we'll hopefully get some more CVG flying from that

But Yanks are in the World Series so I'm pretty content right now Comair who?

Maybe. I'm looking for another job. Comair is about to have "Taps" played over its' carcass. (IMO)

You might want to do the same. I hear a few regionals might be gearing up to hire next year. 1 I hear is Pinnacle. Eagle is recalling, Compass might be ready to hire again soon too.

Of course this is all rumor. So how are you holding out in this Fecal fest?

I know a guy who was in my class that is doing the ATC thing. I think he is going to be in JAX center when he is done with training.
