Probably doesn't cost as much as cancelling flights/turning away flying when attrition finally catches up to them...........3 more below us!

Is there any way to find out how many flights cancel because there is no crew?

The statistics are out there. It would just be hard for us to get them since we don't have that access. No, its not some scheme or coverup. There's actually a very good Delta website out there that lists all cancellations across the network and the reasons for the cancel. Except this company website can only be access from an in-house computer.

the company says we are fine while we have to come in every day to a mess and try and fit the pieces.

Have we really become this miserable? First we accuse the company of being short staffed and not willing to train pilots and running things on edge, then we give trouble when they run a class, albeit small.

That's 3 more people below me on the seniority list. That's 3 more people that have spent many years and tens of thousands of dollars in flight training that have finally gotten their lucky break. Thats 3 more people added to the Comair pilot gorup to make us stronger.

I'm happy that they have a class going through. I'm happy that they are going to hire 2 classes a month. The more the merrier.

Yeah, I know the fleetwatch code that the flight controllers put in when they drop it into the CX sling. I was referring to the dal-web information source. When I served as manager of operations, every night I'd have to pull many reports of delay codes, logs, CX reasons, etc. and give them to the directors and VPs.

it will downsize before it cancels rule of thumb or upsize a leg or 2 to compensate.
