Or are you just compensating for your small pen...

OPS manual says 150 feet, good job taking that as "this FO busts altitude by 150 feet every day and likes it"

Reading Comprehension 101 called, they said you failed.
ooo hit a nerve, sweet.

Youve been online for what a week? and your already a fine right seat captain. Enjoy the next 7 years

being within 50 foot of limits should put anyone on edge, more so when you got a new hire in the right seat who thinks he's... well you get the point

and calling out my pen...? what are you 12?

FWIW, I remember on IOE being taught not to use turb mode in RVSM airpace. So whatever, who cares...

I have no idea if the turbulance mode can or can't be used in RVSM airspace. If however I asked a FO to do something I would expect that he would do that. If he said bullship and did it anyway he would be replaced on the next leg. I had lots of Captains with strange concepts. As long as it was not unsafe I did it they way they want. When you get to be Captain you can do it the way you want. If you feel its a big deviation from SOP then you can go to professional standards or as a last resort the CP after the trip.

Oh you guys must be a real thrill to fly with.

How about "so long as we don't crash and burn, it's within company policies, and we stay out of the Chief Pilot's office... fly it like you want."

You know guys and gals, when i first log into this thread and read some of your comments, I honestly think that it is a bunch of kids on this board. It's embarassing.
Some of the verbage is what I would expect out of some surfer dude in California.

You should all take some time and go read some of the other airlines forums. They have legitimate discussions and they come across as true professionals.

Why don't you guys start a thread that says, "I'm 21 going on 18, let's argue!".

Then the rest of the people that really want an update on Comair can get just that.

Sailingfun must be one of the captains who's trips are always in open time because no one wants to fly with him. If I dont break any limitations on the airplane or SOP from the company, leave me alone. If you dont like something I do and it doesnt break any of the above, go ahead call a CP and have me replaced. Lets see who spends more time doing the carpet dance.
