Are the chief pilots really sending out encouragement letters? What do they say? What D bags! During the strike our VP at the time was sending out letters to the children of some of the captains. These were 10 year old little girls. The letters said things to get the children to discuss things with thier parents. I would mail your pens back to the chief pilots.

I'd like to send it back with a note that says something like this:

Dear Sirs:

The local pawn shop wouldn't buy my furlough pen. It's inedible, so I can't feed it to my children. I don't need a pen to file for unemployment and don't want a constant reminder of my love for Comair.

I am returning this pen, postage due of course. Please mail it to someone that gives a damn.

Sincerely,

Bob Sakamano

That dollar threshold you speak of is the dollar threshold for the definition of an accident. It says in black and white that it will not cover an accident, so if you sustain "substantial" damage or cause more than $25,000 in damage to property then you had an accident. NASA does not apply to those situations, commercial or not.

I haven't been flying much the last few weeks, so I wasn't sure how many planes were sitting in remote when you guys were talking about it. But this is just sad and disgusting!

There are about 3 rows of planes lined up, and I didn't even want to count how many planes are over by the hangar! No wonder we have several 100% completion days, half of the damn fleet is sitting on the ground. Good job!

LMAO... I got my F-kit from OH yesterday... nice pen. I wonder if they had not given out pens that they might have been able to save 2 or 3 jobs... wishful thinking at the very least. Glad to hear it writes at 330... I might use it on my 'retirement' flight in a couple of weeks. Thanks Chief Pilot Gabe!

My note says: "Were sorry it has come to this, but we would like to stay in touch. Please let us know if any of your information changes, Thank you. -CP Gabe"

I see they are running short on reserves again! They already handed out readies for tomorrow, at least on the CR7/9. As soon as they are down to 3-5 reserves, they just put everyone on a ready reserve. What a bunch of idiots!
