Survivor - I'm guessing you must have had a training problem. If not, can you explain what you mean when you say, "the combined incompetence of the FAA and Keen and Co." I've been here 20 years and don't give training much thought. Then again, I've never had an issue with them.

Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking pusher.
The fact that Piedmont has been flying the 300 since 2001 and has never provided hands on stick pusher simulator training is the issue. AQP has nothing to do with the combined incompetence of the FAA and Keen and Co. If FAA weren't in bed with the heads of state in CLT, then they would do the right thing and inop the system until such time as the pilots are trained. Meanwhile, both sides are hoping that the NTSB doesn't get wind of their world class indescretion, and launch an investigation.

btw, has anyone heard anything about new service in SBY. I have heard:
-PSA 700 from CLT
-CapeAir 402 from BWI
-Colgan Q from EWR
I'm starting a new rumor. SWA is flying a 737 from BWI with a decapitated chicken painted on the front. From my experience, anytime an airport extends a runway or builds a new terminal, it's usually for SWA.

The only thing really worth while in ASK PIEDMONT dealt with LGA closing. Pretty much they were expecting approval of the swap to come last month but it has been delayed (for once I'm happy the gov't is dragging their feet) however if it gets approved they believe all planes will be relocated throughout CLT and PHL, primarily CLT with limited exposure in DCA.
As for the MESA stuff, I believe all that happened after answers were submitted but it might get some interesting questions next week.

Some good news, it was said that once the LGA transaction goes through the 12-15 airplanes currently doing the LGA flying will be redistributed to CLT and PHL (mostly CLT), with "very limited" DCA flying. I'm glad they were able to find flying for those airplanes.
edit: Sorry higgi, you covered it.
