Get over it already. Don't you work for PSA?
So then you were ready to screw pdt and psa? Got it. Fact is the large RJs were going between the three.... No matter what you want to say. Now PDT and PSA will be sending pilots to AA, have movement, and be in favorable positions to move elsewhere and acquire more AC because of a cost structure. You all forget Gojet and Compass both were created to slash cost. Yet you all brag about Compass who NWA created and subsequently screwed Mesaba, Pinnacle etc.... So you either adapt to this world or they've proven they'll create other regionals to do the same. Hate the game all you want but it's reality.

Piedmont, who none of you cared about before this merger, should do what they desire. It's their choice. Unfortunately you at Envoy put a terrible MEC in place when Tony and his gang were in charge.... Guess the other option is joining Compass at year 1 pay and reserve??

Anyway enough hijacking a PDT thread as this, nor is everything, about Envoy.... Good luck PDT and honestly I hope they get a deal in place and I see even more PDT guys in our new hire classes....

Go back to your hole PSA scum. Stop trying to cover up what you did. The word is spreading like wildfire on you guys. I sit in 4-5 jumpseats per month and just a few months ago it was me telling the mainline guys what scum you are. Now they tell me. Every chance I get, I make sure these mainline guys know that scum like you should be kept where you belong.

I don't know who you work for but I fly with a lot of guys who worked for PSA. They flew 727's and 146's up and down the west coast. They all still live out there and commute, what little energy they have left after commuting to red eyes all month is spent on the "overnight", not worrying about the people HR is hiring.

Do your time, GTFO.

Guys, you need to realize once you move on no one gives a $#%^ where you came from. Everyone is just incredibly happy we are hiring more people!

This whole "bettering the industry" is a joke. It's never going to happen. There are more NewCo's, Silver's, Gojet's, etc. around the corner with zero longevity pay/vacation/benefits. Just as fast as they come, they also go. The smart guys realize the commuters have zero leverage and go in with eyes wide open.

How much per hour is the difference in first year pay at the worst regional vs. the best? Maybe $10/hr? In 2016 Meyers could be a 3rd year F/O making almost $160/hr on the 330. The amount of money we are talking about is "peanuts" and I mean that almost literally!

Use the commuters like they use you. Get in, get out.

We will see how well that works for you when the industry is turned upside down and you are stuck at your FFD airline for an extended period of time or maybe the rest of your career. How will 4/12 feel then. How about your flow? 30 something a year is hardly any flow at all. Why give anything for that when they need you guys flying the routes.

The difference between Eagle's 4 year FO pay and topped out pay is $3/hr. $150/month after taxes (approx.). You're seriously arguing about pennies.

If anyone has been at a commuter for >10 years that is their own fault. Even with 9/11, 2008 financial crisis and age 65 guys hired just pre-9/11 or post-9/11 were hired in the 2005-2008 wave. Guys hired in the mid-2000's have already left when hiring was gearing up in 2010-2013 range and guys hired in the 2008+ range will enjoy a major job in the next couple years.

18 year pay scales at commuters are beyond ridiculous. They are a temp stop in ones career. If you don't want to make the effort to move on and get "stuck", that is on you!

Doesn't matter people. We can talk all day long! This will pass at PDT! It will be a done deal. People will flow up at Envoy and now PDT. Envoy will continue to park 50 seat and less jets. American now has the ability to continue flying the Dash 8's till they time out (cash cows for them). Then once the dust is settled the two airlines will probably be slammed together. The combined airline will be Envoy but the Call sign will be Piedmont to protect the name. hahahahah and nobody by that time will give a crap because by that time everyone will be sitting in a Airbus or Boeing.
You can either keeping hate till your head explodes or just move on and keep flying till your # comes up for mainline.
Parker told everyone on crewnews. I don't want any lifers at the WO's! Do you time get the experience and move on.

Truth. A capped scale is not enough of a difference to worry about. If we get stuck so be it, the capped rates increase yearly anyway. I'm more worried about being put to the street if we turn this down. Sure they need us, but we could end up having to reapply at PSA or Envoy, with preferential hiring of course. I'm not starting over, I'm positioning to move on.

So you think that a 58 year-old PDT captain who is at the top of the seniority list and lives in New Bern is going to choose to take a flow?

No but he now has the ability to stay at the company and retire. If he commutes he will if he lives in base he has choices to make. But atleast he has choices. Plus if the retirement grievance done many, many will take the retirement out on that Day.
