That was fast!
Will they count 500 military multi time towards the 1000hrs like some other airlines?

Heard piedmont is taking FOs that have been on property a few weeks and unofficially making them "street captains."

I don't think that is the case. Someone with the time to upgrade is completing FO initial and SOE. If their seniority and previous time qualifies them for a CA position in that timeframe, then they are awarded as such and begin CA training thereafter. The training syllabus for upgrades is a repeat of initial minus the indoc. However I don't believe it is allowed to "double up" the courses just because someone has the time.

FOs completing the entire training footprint and going to CA upgrade class shortly after is the next best thing to a street captain position. In a way, it's a better option giving the new captains extra quality training.

Our training program requires all new hires to complete initial training first than a separate captain upgrade. maybe one of the old timers knows if there is DEC syllabus?

This all the talk out the line these guys getting the captain slot.. Truly remarkable.. I hope they get through and set things rolling.

The flight ops update is out on the website.. Looks like the dash sim is getting a major overhaul next month.. Probably do to that lighting strike?

Lose 3-5 Captains a month to the flow. Add a RJ every month next year sometimes even two that means they need to run about 15-20 upgrades a month next year. That's probably at the least! Today we had some more Captains just get there email about there Feb. 16th class date at American.

Wild 2016 for everyone at Piedmont.
