What rumors? History speaks for itself. I can go back to your extended contract negotiations for starters (almost 6 years). And why did the pilot group feel the need to elect new union representation after that failed TA? What I see is just more of the same.

I've got a friend that was at Mesaba mid 80's through mid 90's that seems to remember some at Mesaba that paid for their training when it was popular back in the days that was popular, and not getting paid while in training..

I haven't based my opinion of the 9E Union leadership on false rumors. I base it on years of failed contract negotiations, the uncalled for picketing event and subsequent tearing down of the two other pilot groups in December. I base my opinion on the 9E SLI proposal and the incompetence of the merger committee to submit a correct seniority list and then to proceed to place the blame for them not doing their job correctly on the company. Or the worst case scenario they purposely submitted a known incorrect list they purposely doctored. I form my opinion based on the actions of the merger committee using the Delta gate swap as a last chance grasp at getting the upper hand with Bloch. If you were at another company what would your opinion be of the 9E Union leadership? I gave 9E leadership multiple chances and always gave them the benefit of the doubt, but no more. This SLI thing was the last nail in the coffin for me.

The Mesaba merger committee also tried to use the crashes at Colgan and Pinnacle as reasons why Mesaba was superior and deserved a favorable SLI award. Real classy stuff there...

--Tearing down? I would have thought that was XJ and 9L sticking the knife in the back of the pilots who were prepared to do something rather than wait to wrap their lips around the company line one more time...

--What part of the following do you not understand?
(a) The MEC has nothing to do with the SLI process. Not at 9E, XJ, or 9L. They are autonomous.
(b) The SLI members are operating without substantive communication to membership at Bloch's direction.
(c) Mr. Bloch is a 70+ year-old former law professor who has handled far more important issue than what order some self-entitled Gen-Y pilot gets to upgrade or how some lifer captain with a DUI gets to bid vacation. He might even be under the presumption that you are mature enough to wait an extra week while he gets everything correct.
(d) All of the facts and positions will be fully disclosed when the award is made. So there really is nothing being "kept" from you.

Which MEC are you mad at? WG, SE, or CS? Or are you just mad at "those guys"? Three very different MEC leaders with changing LECs over the past 12 years.

You say it's the last straw. Fine. Go non-member paying or quit. Or do something more constructive than spreading lies on here.
