I'd do this 3, maybe 4 years tops...The way I see it, getting paid $19 per hour flying a turbopro is better than getting paid $16 per hour instructing in a 172 to build time... But I am in no way commiting to Gulfstream, considering I havent even interviewed. If I dont get the offer, it was a good experience considering I've never done an airline interview before. If I do get the offer, it's definitely something to think about, but definitely not jumping through any hoops yet.

I've talked to a lot of CAL FOs that did the pay to train here back in the day. Nice guys. They have said you will fly your a** off, but isn't that what you want? More hours, not sitting around a crappy crash pad. I know what I am getting into and I choose to enjoy the journey, every poor minute. If you ask me, which no one did, it's an exciting time to be in aviation.

I'm bidding FL too, lol. Easy commute. I have a copy of the pilot contract in case anyone has any questions before going. Nothing about the training bond inside however. It's to big to scan in so if you have something specific I can try and look it up.
