Homeboy hasn't even started training yet. He has no clue.

Before taxes, based on the APC pay scales. She is, thanks.
Let's do an experiment, let's follow a pilot who gets hired at Mesa and a pilot who gets hired at SkyWest.
By Year Two...
Mr. Mesa upgrades. Until now, he's made $47,000 cumulatively (based on APC pay scales and minimum monthly guarantee).
Mr. SkyWest is a ways away from upgrading and has made a decent $55,164.
Year Five
Mr. Mesa has been a Captain three years and just got hired at Delta. Through now, he's made a cumulative $246,728 in five years. Not shabby.
Mr. SkyWest is now upgrading. In the last five years he has made $171,264. This is ~$75,000 lower than his Mesa counterpart through the same point.
Year Seven
Mr. Mesa is an FO at Delta on the A320. Through now, he's made $388,728. And he has two years of seniority at Delta.
Mr. SkyWest is also about to get hired on at Delta. He's two years behind his counterpart, and through now has made $313,464, $75,000 less.
Have you crunched the numbers?

I'm guessing you're not a math major.

And what would this be at the "good" regionals like SKW, XJT?
$1800 and 11 days off first year?
$1800 and 11 days off first year?
Versus a new hire at SKW making the exact same hourly rate and exact same monthly guarantee? Versus the XJT guy making a dollar more an hour for the same monthly guarantee? Versus a new hire at Republic making a dollar more per hour?

When the deliveries begin to wind down, yes, the music will slow down.

Everyone's reasoning is too awful to ignore. I don't work at Mesa, but explain to me how someone hired tomorrow won't be subject to quick movement when there are 20 more -175s and ~10 CRJs are yet to be delivered this year?

People are holding out for upgrade in the 175 (that is why the RJ is JR) and all the RJ captains they need are already on property.
They need to pack classes for longtime FO's, and selling them the sweet, sweet, 18 month coolaid will help do the trick.
Dig?

I'd like to encourage all Mesa pilots reading this to stop replying to these pathetic threads. We're better than this guys, and we have better things to do with our time. Leave this non sense to the boys...don't even acknowledge them. It's pointless! There is definitely no shortage of miserable regional pilots looking to drag others down to their level.

Mesa new hires have none of these. Enjoy the 10 days off and $1,200 a month take home pay guys. You are getting exactly what you are worth.
Looks like several guys here justify the bad decision to go to Mesa because they believe they will move on faster. Don't celebrate before you cross the finish line guys. You gotta make it through new hire training , upgrade and then pass a mainline interview. Your movement isn't guaranteed. The only thing right now that is a sure thing is you being the lowest paid in the industry. It seems Mesa guys bought the sales pitch that they have to get screwed as much as possible to move on. Many guys from better regionals move on to the majors without PIC. It's all about the money, and you won't make any. Enjoy.

I'd like to encourage all perspective Mesa pilots to read the following:
I'm sure the phone interview was difficult, and getting hired somewhere with your background is not easy, but there are other options out there. Just because someone upgraded in 18 months does not mean you will. In fact it means the opposite, you will be forced to endure years of abuse. Don't listen to the recruiters.
