Yeah. Show up stoned and say you're all for legalizing pot nationally. I'm sure that will go over well. Btw, I'm for it, but I'm not going to put it on my resume..

Republic Says It Cannot Fly The Schedule It Promised Partners | Commercial Aviation content from Aviation Week

Looks like Aviation Week picked up on the story about Bedford not being able to fly his schedule. Poor guy : )

Republic files motion to dismiss the teamsters lawsuit. See motion here. Doesn't mean it will be granted but I'll check the system in a few days and post any updates.

I need some photo evidence about the dog poop eating. Otherwise it might not be true.

Good chance they are skewing the numbers. (which aren't good in the first place.) To force the union into a new "Industry Leading" contract. Then when you take stock as a bonus for crushing the union, put the numbers back and bam stock spike.

I wouldn't put it past that guy but a lousy contract doesn't fill seats in class.

A lousy contract for Sr pilots and good money for Jr pilots might help attract some new blood.

Look what united just did to save a buck on FA and MX contracts. They did a massive stock buy back so they have no cash on hand, the day before mandatory arbitration. So when they bring a snapshot of the books to the arbitrator looks like they are broke. Management takes a bonus, and stock prices rise.

.
That's really the only option they have at this point. It will have to be something along the lines of a large pay cut for all the lifer captains coupled with a 100% pay raise for FO's to get new talent in the door. That would keep things more or less cost neutral.
