Who would be sued? Teamsters? Just dump them now then let everyone just show up for work whenever they feel like it.

Without a union, there's nobody to sue.

FirstClass does have an interesting point. Didn't the NFL Player's Union consider that during their last labor dispute?

Call a strike, then de-certify the union. When the company is ready to settle, re-certify the union and have the new union sign the contract.

Local 357 has a very solid and respectable leadership, but right now they're only allowed to bring knives to a tank battle.

I've never really thought about that. So, what would happen if, say, Skywest, had a sick out? Or if they were given terms they didn't agree with and, instead of organizing a union, walked off the job? Skywest could fire them but would in the current hiring environment would be getting themselves in a world of hurt due to lead times for new hire pilots.

They selectively fire, fine and jail people that they believe are instigators (with a corporate friendly judge) and at some point (since it becomes expensive to hire a lawyer to defend yourself) people panic and start returning to work...in droves usually.

If the labor group isn't unionized, there is no legal standing to jail anyone for organizing a strike. They can fire, sure. But when you are at a place like RAH, you can arguably go anywhere and get treated better with better pay.

You need to get better familiarized with labor law...

Well, I accept that failure. I didn't realize the RLA applied to all employees in support of interstate commerce (including fuelers), not just unionized ones.

I guess XJT is starting to pick up Republics pieces, I flew a new route, with a new flight number, not normal XJT number.
