It's a scare tactic - plain and simple. The company is effectively scaring the pilot which will force their hand in voting in this mediocre offer.

What's there to be scared of? It doesn't really matter if RAH files for bankruptcy or not. It doesn't really matter if the contract is voted in or not. The damage is done, there's really no pilots to hire in a large enough group to even be a worthy mention.

Rah's demise is pretty apparent. No pilots no airline. You can't really sell 7 year upgrades and no flow.

The company is going to declare bankruptcy either way.
There is probably a bigger plan in the works. Maybe BK then AA buys republic at a cheap price and a 4th wholly owned is born. Or Merge with eagle or PDT.
Either way, the pilot vote has little bearing on the future. Bedford has it planned out already.

This is union busting 101 guys. Do not flinch. You DO hold the cards.

Good luck.
I really enjoy the use of the term "non-consensual." NOTHING regarding labor issues has been "consensual" at Republic for a very long time. The company does whatever it likes without regard for the union or it's crew members.

This proposal isn't even "consensual."

Don't give Bedford that much credit. Seabury Group LLC has it figured out and Bedford is the puppet. Bedford is a terrible CEO and has run RAH into the ground with no hope of repair without outside "help". If he doesn't get the boot after this whole charade is over I'd be surprised.

Vote with your vote then.

If I were IBT, I would take my chances in bankruptcy court. Seabury is a VERY expensive firm. They wouldn't be in Indianapolis unless a filing is imminent.

They are very expensive, however they have been being used by RAH for the better part of a year for proposal costing. They are not new arrivals.

Man you just keep squawking away without listening. The only place with a 7 year upgrade that I can think of is... Envoy. RAH is currently sitting a little over 2.5 years to upgrade. That will drop with a new contract. I think someone is getting nervous about more of envoys FO's leaving if someone has something TANGIBLE to offer like more money and a quick upgrade instead of a flow pipe

how is it going to drop with a new contract? where do you think this flood of pilots is suddenly going to come from beating down rah's doors? you sound just as silly touting a "just over 2.5 year upgrade" while omitting the huge # of pilots hired between January 2012 through 2014 and the enormous uncertainy facing this company in the near future

Nobody makes lateral moves to Republic and $40/hr isn't going to change that. Most lateral movers are seeking a one year or less upgrade, and while flying was shifting around, it was possible to find. Things are slowing down on the front now though.

Career progression and a stable company are what new pilots are looking for. The only reason RAH got so many newbies was because of the 175. Lots of airlines fly the 175 now though.

Y'all are in a world of trouble whether this passes or not. I'm hoping for the best for my friends over there.
