I guess I'm not seeing the humor in that. Having a variety of CPA agreements is critical to an indipendent regional's survival. What has been air whisky's biggest Achilles heel? One CPA. That has been discussed here to no end. And as for the aircraft, I am in no way saying the 175 is any better or shinier than crj's or 145's. However, it is plainly obvious that the 175 is the choice aircraft for the future, and RAH is already the worlds largest 175 operator. Those aircraft have a future, the smaller rj's life is nearly played out. These are facts, don't let your dislike for RAH get in the way of facts.

I don't believe Skywest wants anymore airlines with a union. I think they are done buying regionals. If trans-states has the cash I think they are the most likely to pick up the operation as there would be minimal transition and training issues. I know endeavor is sending 200s to Lga to pick up flying for RAH.

Pilots at Republic are in no way, shape, or form considered "assets". We fall squarely on the liabilities side of the balance sheet.

Sorry, but I don't see it your way. As long as the regionals exist, mainline can shuffle flying from one to the next, and older less efficient aircraft are being retired; people will move from one place to the other. I can see people from commutair, Mesa, ExpressJet, Gojet just to name a few moving to a higher paying job. The money will bring people from others as well, those who have bills to pay and to whom that $9000 you seem to brush off means economic stability. It will happen.
No matter, it appears Republic will return to the bargaining table after it is decided it will not be presented (final outcome) or the pilots vote it down.
A source within the Republic pilot ranks suggested there were tentative indications this week Republic might be willing to return. The source said at least one Republic executive, Ryan Willman, who visited pilot bases in recent days, was asking what might need to be changed in the airline's last best and final offer to get pilots to vote 'yes.'

If that's the case were talking apples and oranges. For you, $40/hr might not seem that great. However, it is a step in the right direction at the regional level. Of course, it's no good without solid language for the rest, which is why we will not be voting on it. Now, if yall could take back some scope in this next contract we wouldn't even have to discuss this! And I sincerely hope you do.
