(1) For the love of all that is holy (or insert your own word choice)... There are a quadrillion threads of PDT/PSA/Envoy/Mesa is great/sucks. Please use those and leave this thread for actual AWAC TA discussion...

(2) No proof for sure, but I am of the belief that the company has or is about to put ink on paper for new flying... (Tons of it out there right now that isn't being staffed properly.) Why else would they push for a TA? The company has no reason to pay us MORE or give us any boosts to QOL if we are shutting the doors or they don't have something long term in the works. They could just ride this out to the end if that was the case. Question is whether it will be more 200 flying or moving to something else...

Delta management probably laid out the cost they are willing to spend and thus things moving fast to lock in their (there) (They're) cost.
And the previous contract Comair just magically disappeared! I was there for that! 50 seat airplane cuts and the rise of the 717! Courtesy of ALPA! Until this thing is print I am making no conclusions! I have zero confidence in ALPA these days. Curious what five years of meeting in Cabo or the Bahamas has drummed up!

Or push to pass something marginal so that if we close down in two years we can't sue the owners for not bargaining in good faith

Nah, admittedly I'm new, but that would be a hard case to prove. Pretty sure the savvy business peeps that own AWAC aren't throwing us money because they are afraid we will sue them if we shut the doors. Likelihood of that happening AND succeeding are absurdly low.

They grew one the backs of people paying to work there and crappy pay and later got a good contract because they had some leverage only to sign a concessionary agreement later in hope of living another day.

So Comair held the line???? LOL, go back and learn!!
You need to learn the history son before you make yourself look foolish again.

Which Part??? Comair was pay for training right? Comair's pay to fly an RJ's was pretty low right?

Comair grew from paying pilots/flight attendants low rates right? Comair did strike and got an industrial leading contract right??

Delta beefed up many of it's contract carriers and forced Comair to take concessions right??

Comair signed on concessions in hoping to survive right????

Comair was still shut down right????

Where is any of that wrong??

It's all the same in our industry Raise and Repeat. This is the one part of the industry I WON'T miss!

Wait, you are complaining that ALPA condoned more 717s for 50 seat cuts?
