I believe it's actually supposed to "add value to their contract and careers".
Just so I'm sure Envoy isn't included in the above? Or Endeavor?

Now, what if AWAC's TA does not have 12/4? I highly doubt it will. Will the above carriers have still "sold out" the industry?

Too bad a thread that could have been 100% positive for the AWAC guys turned down the normal APC path and is now filled with the ever present finger pointing and insults.

Hope you guys killed it, good luck.

Possibly this month with a potential vote for ratification in September

Lots of uncertainty in that sentence. Nonetheless I'm excited to see what you guys get. Your MEC seems happy about it.

If people acted in person as they act behind the keyboard the airports would look like the Jerry Springer show.

I'm going to say the thread went off track right about here:

And Billy, you're not helping, just stop defending our actions. Let the results speak for themselves.

That said, congrats to AWAC on getting a TA. Looking forward to seeing the details. The harder this pilot shortage hits the regional industry, the more apparent it will be to airline managements that pay, benefits, and a well run operation is the best way to attract top talent. I hope AWAC continues to be an example of this.

Is Piedmont Perfect??? Hell no it's not and 2 years ago when all our planes were timing out we all wondered if we'd have jobs here. Who wants a senior airline that's paying many captains close to 90-100k a year to fly 37 seat aging turbo props????
What are our mistakes??? What's PSA's mistakes?? What's Envoy's mistakes? What's Mesa's mistakes?? What's GoJet's mistakes? What's TSA's mistake?? What's SkyWest's mistake???What's republic's mistakes??
We've had 7 year FO's at Piedmont that are now not only Captains but about a year in a half from flowing to American.
If that's all a mistake then I'd say it wasn't a bad one.

Billyho
I know you just came on the board to congratulate us for our TA. And thanks. Not knowing the future here has everyone concerned as well.
As for details?
First the negotiating committee presents the TA to the MEC. The MEC votes on whether to send the TA to the pilot group for ratification. Then the NC will prepare for road shows with all the details.

That's a start.

Those who think we can have a contract to allow for growth don't get it. That growth would have to undercut someone else in this industry, perpetuating the whipsaw effect. The company can't offer a flow through agreement like many other wholly owned operators so there must be more on the table. We'll see what happens.
THIS...it's not all about upgrading quick and flashy planes...the view is the same out the windshield.
