Yeah I don't get the mentality of taking cuts for flow when you could flow without cuts or just interview like anyone else.

I understand that everyone thinks that in 5 years we'll all be sitting in a legacy carrier or LCC. But, that call may never come, and I for one am not willing to throw myself and everyone else at my company under the bus for some new jets or a quick upgrade

Piedmont held the line for many years. Go back and research history and you'll find we (PDT) were the front runners for the regional contracts. We actually fought to make the regionals a better place and many other regionals fought hard to have the contract we did. I was never here then but I've heard the stories from our pilots that have been her 25-30 years. AWAC is like PDT one of the last to hold the line but you guys haven't yet seen a gun held to your heads.
That's why I say good luck. We've been there and done that.
You do realize contracts 15 yrs ago were better than what you all have now...

Places like Comair held the line... PDT wasn't even a blip in the regional radar back then

Actually we were. Defined benefit plan etc etc. But I'm sure you knew that and just chose to ignore it. Or how our dash 300 CA'S will top off at 100/hr in this current deal. But I'm sure you knew that too..

AWAC, Awesome job getting a deal

let me understand, envoy gets bent over because they have 100 p/hr pilots on the crj700 and you guys at pdt get 100p/hr for the dash 300.
no it was not personal with envoy then.

How about everyone quits the *****ing and crying, and some one posts the bullet points of this new TA before Mesa's MEC rushes our new TA to the voting table?

Comair held the line??? Son you don't know history do you? Comair grow because it was one of the first CRJ operators. There pay and workrules were awful! You actually had to PAY for you job there. That's right pay to get a CRJ rating and PAY for your own hotel. So basically you had to have mom and daddy pay 20,000 dollars for a 18k a year job flying a CRJ. But people did it.

They grew one the backs of people paying to work there and crappy pay and later got a good contract because they had some leverage only to sign a concessionary agreement later in hope of living another day.

So Comair held the line???? LOL, go back and learn!!

As for details?
First the negotiating committee presents the TA to the MEC. The MEC votes on whether to send the TA to the pilot group for ratification. Then the NC will prepare for road shows with all the details.
Yes I have more then a few friends flying there.

Billyho, not only do you talk a load of ****, but you can't spell it either!
Obviously not the recipient of a higher level education. There, their or they're (try choosing one) TA hopefully puts YOUR contract to shame, and please do enjoy being a member of one of the least respected sell-out pilot groups in the industry. It obviously suits you.
