Not under the current CBA, unless the company waives that provision. And they NEVER do things like that unless it helps them out.

All subject to change as this company opens and closes bases often.

Q new hires may bid into the 170 after two years. So it'd be at least two years for any meaningful movement.
You serious?

Ask some of the current Q400 FOs how that transition will go for them. The first Q class was June 2012, I'm sure in June 2014 the company will gracefully waive the CBA and allow them to leave the airplane that has given them the hardest time to staff....

A few Q new hires have told me they were promised this arrangement. So either they are going to be really disappointed in two years, or this is some unannounced thing.

Did they get it in writing. Ironclad writing? If not, not gonna happen.

Yeah. no. I was also promised that if I fly a plane with 100 seats in it, I would get paid for it. And that we dont have a 2 year seatlock as a CA on the Q. And they would always pay us in accordance with the CBA. And that iPads were just around the corner. And we would never see 190s on property.....

Our CBA specifically says that you can not swap aircraft as an FO. Any change to the contract would be a change to the status quo and grounds for IMMEDEATE release for strike.

For some reason, I dont think that will fly....
