I agree with this 100%. If you want to be a part of a dysfunctional pilot group then come to Republic. I've been here 5 months and I'm already regretting my decision. Morale is in the toilet and I'm staring down a likely lengthy upgrade time with all the CHQ dudes switching over due to the downsizing. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

Regardless of what actually happens aircraft-wise, that was incorrect data, incorrectly reported by a news agency and read and spread by people who didn't look at the source material. About the same as believing everything you hear about aviation on CNN when they report on an accident.

A bit sooner than I expected, but here are the new 170s I was talking about. Add in the remaining AA 175s to come and attrition, this is more than enough to offset the Q and 145 wind down with plenty of true upgrades.

Of course we arent getting a contract. Pdt and psa just signed concessionary contracts, and bedford is banking on expressjet and envoy furloughs. Management has no motivation to negotiate these days.

I think our bargaining Power was greatly reduced because of this but I do think there will have to be a new contract in the next year, maybe not an industry leading contract but enough to be competitive and attract pilots.

And what would be their motivation to come here since our contract is still worse than PSA and Piedmonts.

Not a chance of that happening. This pilot group will accept nothing less than industry leading. That is something bedford will never agree to. Its going to be at a stalemate for the long haul. We can staff by parking Qs and 145s. Throw in some new hires and bedford is happy.
