A bit sooner than I expected, but here are the new 170s I was talking about. Add in the remaining AA 175s to come and attrition, this is more than enough to offset the Q and 145 wind down with plenty of true upgrades.

Well, Nostradamus, I have to hand it to you...I certainly didn't see this coming.
Now, what's that crystal ball telling you about base deployment?
...and, for Pete's sake, please try to say "SDF" as little as possible.

I don't think the new guys at republic understand. We don't care if the company can attract people with this contract. We're also not signing a **** poor TA for shameful gains to a shameless few just to attract pilots. XJet, Envoy and Republic pilots all said enough and stood our ground. You came here, we told ya not too now hunker in son, it's gonna be a while.
It's the Piedmonts and PSA's that followed the GoJet/Freedom play book that are throwing the match and lighting the fires. Well done, get a bus pass. And, if you want to talk about jump seat games, ever try catching a ride on a Piedmont flight?
American pilots started the downfall of Envoy when they gave up their scope on larger airplanes at other regionals that was truly unfortunate.

No clue on base deployment. I didnt even know it was United he was dealing with. I was just told "large 170 contract coming very soon" by someone who knows. Back to the sdf argument, ive been told hangar construction has begun, and there are up to 5 170s ron now. Based on the renewed contract with the city as well as additional overnighters, it really is just a matter of time before the base is announced.

Is what you make of it. I live in base and drive to work. I have a wife with a job and we don't revolve around money and things. That said, it's not been profitable but not as bad as some jobs I've had. The bad is bad the good is ok. Some guys seem to think pulling ahead lever up and walking around in the rain should pay $200,000. It'd be nice but then their is the real world. The real world is that as an FO, I had **** for actual responsibilities. I could sit back and be passenger 77 for all I/anybody cared.
Am I happy, like I said, it's what you make of it. Do I want more for my pilot group and myself... Damn straight! Will I fight for it...yup!
I'd rather just move on though.

As I captain now I fly with a few empty seats and can agree with you completely. There are a few new guys who are awesome, there are others that already **** and moan like they spent the last 8 years on a 2003 pays scale. I could care less to fly with them but it's still on the captain to get the job done. The guys that don't are the ones most unhappy, those that do make the best of it.
Sorry I wasn't clear on that but thanks for calling he out.
