You guys just won big. You stopped the TA vote. You get to remain on the same contract now indefinitely. Big win. Good job. What's another 5 years of the same contract?
Think before you type much?

What about swapping airframes? I've heard that you need to upgrade to Captain and then you can bid across. Is this happening or are you basically going to be in your starting a/c for a good many years?

Obviously it would be a good idea to take any class now rather than wait until June for the 170 if you eventually thought you might want the 170 unless of course it wouldn't really come about.

No swapping airplanes or certificates as an FO. Unless the company needs it in which case you can switch to what works best for them. Come here with the mindset you will be on the airplane/team you got hired on until upgrade

Unless of course you were hired into the airplane and base you wanted, then expect to be involuntarily displaced in a "displacement vacancy" where only you are sent to training to fly a plane you didn't want out of a base that is a 3 leg commute from everywhere

The aircraft and systems training are done by FSI and is great. (Most of the instructors are ex-TWA guys that have forgotten more about airplanes than I will ever know.) Its just Indoc that is performed by company instructors and is a little lacking.

there is one company instructor who has been with chautauqua since the early 80s and has tons of information and expierence. If you get this guy for training you are doing your self a dis-service by not learning from this instructors almost 30 years of flying. the rest are basically purdue rejects.
