They just had a new hire class of 10-12 (depends on who you hear it from) 100% no show for the first day of Q class. They are desperate for new hires but luckily most people out there aren't stupid enough to come into our mess. Stay FAR away from this Sh!tshow of an operation!

What's a typical washout rate for new hires getting a Q type? And versus the E series? A weak training department usually ends in high washout rates. TransStates uses FlightSafety as well, and they have lots of washouts.

Things that make you go hmmmm........
BTW, no problems filling 170 classes, but thankfully people know that the Q is a ****show and the last bunch of FOs that go to the Q are going to be junior FOREVER!

Last I heard, there were 22 on property. They just put out another vacancy for Q captains which should be the last one for a while unless they have to keep up with having Captains flying right seat. (Apparently, most of the PIT pairings being flown are Captain on Captain.)

If we are shooting for 150 CA and 150 FOs, there is still another 65 FOs to hire. That said, there could be some new hire Q400 FOs that I'm not seeing because they don't have a base assigned yet.
Anyone coming to the Q400 risks being junior and stuck on the Q400 for a VERY long time. The current Q400 FOs are the most junior group in the system. The senior Q400 FOs will be the last to upgrade, meaning a VERY long wait for new hire Q400 drivers on the bottom of the Q400 pile.
