Quote: Did you recently been through training or something? You sounds like you have a story to tell.
You are totally correct about pdt's bases though. It sucks if you have to commute, but you already know that before u sign up, so what's your point? Pdt is bad? So are 95% of the regionals. But I am interested in your dealing of our training department though.
I was there closer to the beginning of 2014 and very glad I was offered another job before I got much further in training.

Is it any better?
I retired almost four years ago from PDT and haven't looked back! Yes, PDT once had an almost decent defined benefit retirement plan before all the age 60 BS. I go out under the early retirement offer. I wouldn't trade the last few years for anything which may be gained from the age 60 grievance. There is really a great life in the real world. Just to make it better, repeat after me, "Max contribution to 401k." I've been taking a little out yearly just to put in savings and still have more left than when I retired. Just don't take out enough to make the IRS love you.

I non-rev occasionally when my wife makes me, as I'm happy just to get to stay home for a change. Maybe it will be different in another year or two when I become really bored and want to travel the world, but I haven't had the urge yet. She does keep reminding me that I promised to travel once I retired. I just still sit home grinning and thinking F--- you scheduling! Life is good. Sometimes I still have nightmares that I'm working! Nothing like working all night with all the problems for free and waking up in a cold sweat!

So, what have I missed besides those jets which they promised me twenty-five years ago?

At least I was one of those proudly holding my head high, waiting for my brothers to support me, as PDT never caved in, while PSA dragged the wholley-owneds down. Now I just look at what's left and say go for it guys. You have nothing to be ashamed of. All those years of holding the line got us nothing but stagnation and no future. Nobody had our backs or gave a damn. All of you criticizers out there should just shut up and hold you own if you think anyone will back you. Good luck standing for principle, it didn't work very well for us when I was there!

Good luck to all!

Glad you're enjoying retirement. Basically everyone you probably flew with will be flowing and gone over the net 2 years. Piedmont will be a shell of itself over the next few years and the days of the old salty dog regional Captain will be gone.

Honestly when my flow number comes I will miss the friendships and miss the Mighty Dash as well. It will be weird not flying out of a small crew base where everyone knows each other and you would fly with the same people over and over.

And the American 401 is pretty damn good. I believe they contribute 13% without you even dropping a damn. And now that first year is almost 80 bucks people will be much happier flowing.

January class was good, 17 came from the 20 that signed up, 1 dropped out, added 1 return from the September class. Everybody made it through the 3 weeks of ground training. Now waiting for the Sims to be scheduled, but we get paid to wait!

Good Luck with training. You guys might have hit the jackpot at PDT in terms of the Flow and the growth. Fingers crossed it works out for everyone. Last year this time we didn't know if we'd be closing the doors.

FLOW is Over.
February FLOW- Zero 0
March FLOW- Zero 0
April FLOW-?
So this flow was the Pinnacle of our New Contract, It was suppose to be 3 a month. So far 5 months in only 9 have gone The next two months are cancel. I'm hearing ENVOY flow is on hold until the all furlough are given a chance to return. PSA I don't know. They got 24 more CRJ9... If the FLOW does not start up soon we need to force Our Union REPS to remove the SALARY cap BS of 12/4. AN EYE for AN EYE. Delay my career progress, I want My MONEY thieves with suits.

Why is your flow zero? I guess I misread your contract because I thought it was 3 per month no matter what?
envoy flow is not zero, but it will likely be half of what it is supposed to be for the next few months as the undefers come back from furlough. This will plague envoy until summer 2016. Then, PBS integration at AA and the US/AA system efficiently integrating will be the next "gotcha" that neuters the flow. The thing hasn't worked since it started in the 90s. It's a great carrot for management to give because they can play the "gee shucks this just isn't our fault" card.

dont listen to him

its not zero for march (or feb technically), there was no us class for feb, they've said they owe us those 3 and that they'll spread that 3 over the next few classes
