Not in Mexico, or Spain, I'm not. I have a difficult time pronouncing "Mi General, ¿le cae $25.000 allí? Aquí, permítanme conseguir para usted mi amigo." Not that anything like that still happens, I mean, ever happened In fact $25K might be less than the going rate for "expediting" these days, I dunno.

Got booted from a G250 recovery in Cancun just last week.
Quote: I wonder why Air Yurop took off... I would think they had to see the sparks and smoke from a tail strike that bad. Their FOD check was very successful, though! It came back positive....
One of the comment-ers mentioned Aero Mexico didn't mention the tail strike on takeoff.

There was also this from AM-2...
AM-2

We parked close to this 762 after it was moved to the gate, the right main gear tires were deflated and it seemed the aircraft was leaning on the gear strut.

Landed infront of the A330 and saw the inspection of the nosewheel where, from a distance, damage was visible to tire/wheel and strut.

why didn't the crew inform atc about the tail strike? the air europa jet started 7 (!) min later

Runway inspection??

Very surprised the A330 was cleared to take off before a runway inspection had taken place! I'm guessing the rules are different in Spain to the UK? Or had the crew just not advised ATC of their bum scrape until after the 'bus had been given take off clearance?

My Boss can pay off cousins of Generals "to expedite" as good as anyone can, but they kicked me out of a G250 recovery last week.

That is one nut I'm not sure I want to crack. My Spanish is not good enough to pay off, I mean, facilitate.

I'd want to get kicked out of the G250 too. Actually, they're trying to improve the ugliness of the G200. I remember talking to a Gulfstream rep about that thing, I said what do you think of the G200. You could see the steam coming out of the ears but at the same time a lot of those ugly airplanes sold.

That said, would you write off a Hawker 800XP that got snap rolled multiple times on purpose by a contract pilot?

Or whatever happened here?

What happened to the AI 777LR"s?
Quote: The picture was in response to 1067 wondering how "she" (who is known to be a little boy) finished the marathon in 4 hours and asked if they were given a head start... I had to go "really??" at that one!

In reality, the little boy ran out to greet his father who was finishing and then scurried back to the sideline where the bomb subsequently went off. I have no words for how horrible this is.
I only posted that because the picture was totally bogus. The # "she" was wearing had a 5K race reference. OP also mentioned that "she" was a race participant, not some sideline spectator running out to greet a loved one. Not sure what your point is. I was only calling out a bogus story, photo as it turned out to be.

Thanks, bro.... I think.

I see you stayed put. Looks like no move was a good move.

I hope all is well with you.
New day.
