Quote: What if you have Multiple Wide Body Type Ratings, Internarional Experience, College Degree, A&P Mechanics License along with Airlime Maintenance Experience, over 1600 TPIC, Over 6500 Hrs TTL Time, and PASSED THEIR PILOT ASSESSMENT EXAM, But, Still Have Not
Been Contacted For A Phone, or In Person, Interview?

Is that an indication that they don't want you?
Most likely, yes it is. I would suspect that you are overqualified. There is a high probability that you will leave for another airline soon after being hired just like the rest of the pilots who currently work at Atlas with your level of qualifications.

Basically you've described every pilot currently employed at Atlas. Unfortunately for Atlas the qualifications they require/need are exactly the qualifications which every other cargo airline and passenger airline needs. Being over qualified for Atlas means Atlas has a very very small group from which to choose from. Smaller than FDX, UPS, DAL, AA, etc. they've backed themselves into a corner with no long term solution for extensive OE delays or retention issues.

Does it bother anyone that the top 5 Execs at Atlas are trying to steal $66.6 million from AAWW in the form of a golden parachute? They can get fired, quit, move the company headquarters a small distance (which seems imminent), basically anything, and they will get this little gift. Its nearly 50% of AAWWs profit in 2015! How is this good for business? I would honestly like to know how giving $66.6 million to 5 guys is good for anyone besides the 5. September 20th is the proxy vote for their gift to themselves. Unreal.

I have to AGREE with you.

I have nothing different than what ANY AIR CARRIER wants right now!

You work a very long time to amass the qualifications required to BE COMPETITIVE with anyone to be considered.

But, to meet/exceed their qualifications, PASS THEIR ASSESSMENT EXAM, already have WIDE BODY PIC Type Ratings on aircraft that THEY CURRENTLY FLY, and have flown with 3 people, one of which is a SENIOR CAPTAIN WITH ATLAS, it's makes you wonder " WHAT IS IT THAT I DON'T HAVE that causes HR/PILOT RECRUITING to keep
Me Out?"

It makes you ask if it REALLY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH:

1- My Age
2- My Race/Ethnicity

If I have exceeded all the qualifications then the ONLY OTHER THING on the App that will cause them to Discriminate AGAINST YOU
is the EEOC INFORMATION That You Are REQUIRED TO PROVIDE
Prior to the App being submitted.

They can say that "We in HR/PILOT RECRUITMENT Don't get
That information.....and we DON'T KNOW what your ETHNICITY
IS When we Select an Applicant."

And to that, in 2016, I have to call BULL****!

I have just one question.......Why is it that the MAJORITY
of Pilots, WITH ATLAS, are CAUCASIANS?

Including CAUCASIANS that have NOTHING MORE than
REGIONAL AIRLINE......And NO WIDE BODY TYPE RATINGS
OR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE, or, MILITARY HEAVY/ FIGHTER JET
Types?

If it's not meant to be for me......That's okay because you're
Not meant to be a part of EVERY AIRLINES CORPORATE CULTURE,
But, you would, at least, be ABSOLUTELY FAIR
In the selection process.

I don't mind FAIR COMPETITION......That's what this country/society
is about......but, don't make me FEEL like you are OVERLOOKING ME
because of my AGE OR RACE/ETHNICITY.

I don't want to believe that, but, the thought keeps coming up..
especially when I talk to others about the situation, including my
Caucasian Friends.

I don't dislike Atlas Air, I would just like to UNDERSTAND their
Methods of Flight Crew Selection Procedures....Because,
it doesn't seem FAIR OR OBJECTIVE.

It's not fair but they want people who they think have to stick around a while...

You have all the quals to go some place better soon after you get there so they see you as a flight risk.

Seriously, I would have to say Atlas has one of the most diverse groups of pilots I have seen.
Nobody wants to hear another sob story about how you are discriminated against. I know many highly qualified Caucasians trying to get on and haven't heard squat from Atlas. To tell you the truth I honestly have no idea how I got called and offered the job. In the end a lot of it just is luck.

Does the 66.6 mil come off of the "Atlas Air" books? Fund their bonuses and deny our profit sharing at the same time.
