Hey guys , long time reader first time posting.
I’m really hopeful at joining Atlas, the flying seems to be inline with want I want most out of my career at this stage in my life, I am not an Aussie or US resident, what’s the likelihood of being given the time of day with the current climate and meeting all the qualifications.

Well, one of the requirements is a right to work in the United States. Aussies have a fast track with E-3 visas, there are other avenues to get there, but it is not an easy process.

It feels like they're hiring absolutely everyone they can. I'd apply if you're remotely interested in the job.

I’ve been flying the 747-4, as an FO, for almost a year w a different operator. I received the preliminary call from a captain this morning. Maybe HR call next week……

Over 40 year spotless record but still confessed to a private license suspension 38 years ago & an accident that is not on my record either. My honesty might have killed my chances, but, at the end of the day, I have to look at myself in the mirror.

I don't know anything about the 737 schedules, but if you are based in CVG you will start your duty days there. If there is a flight out of there (doubtful) then you will do that flight. If your first flight starts somewhere else then you will deadhead to that destination. Same as on all fleets. You are based somewhere. Doesn't matter where you live, they will fly you there to be ready for your first day. If you live in your base then you get extra time at home. If the trip you are awarded starts with a deadhead then you will deadhead on the first day and not lose any days off.

Disclaimer: I'm currently on a leave of absence so my info is a little dated, but it's 15-17 days on/month, split up across 1-3 trips. So maybe 6 on, then 4 or 5 off, then 10 on or something like that. Maybe 6, 6, and 5 with days off. Occasionally there's just 15-17 days on (with 24/7 sprinkled throughout). We have 30 day (1 month) and 60 day (2 calendar month) lines, and it's a little more common to get 17 straight days across the transition portion of a 60 day line. So a 60 day line might look like 8 on, sizeable chunk of days off, then 9 on to end the month/8 to start the next, then another 7, 8, or 9 days to close out the second month. AFAIK there are very few trips that actually start in CVG on the 737, so you'll almost always be deadheading to work, typically on a commercial flight (but occasionally company metal). This works great for gateway folks since they can travel on a workday, instead of before, but if you're local you won't care too much other than the deadhead starts your time away from base rig (CRT).

Things haven't changed much other than now we get 32/7. Other than that, all looks the same. I've been here for 2 years, and I haven't flown in/out of CVG ONCE haha. But now we do a ton of ILN, which for gateway purposes is like starting at CVG really. So you probably lose a day anyways. Lots of lines starting at ILN.

Answered numerous times. Could be hours. Could be months. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. If you have a someone referring you have them be your advocate.
