My last 2 FOs don’t have any desire to fly widebodies. They wanted jetblue to be their career airline. They saw what a disaster this operation is and are in the process of leaving. One to southwest and one to either delta or United. Their disillusionment began in the schoolhouse with the training disaster and pay cutover disaster. Throw in an endless irop, and they were done with this place. It used to take a while on the line to get the blue juice out of newhires. Now the company is doing it within the first few weeks of training. Easy for Warren to cite widebodies as the reason we are losing people. But that isn’t the only reason people are leaving.

Inaccurate.
Our rates are not the same. Year 12 might be ballpark, but all the steps between are not. At some points over $11/hr difference, or $11,000/yr. I don’t think that’s the same.
Further, for a large percentage of us it has nothing to do with flying widebodies. It has everything to do with seniority. Whether that be through retirements, or whether it be through staying on a narrow body fleet while other people fly the widebodies. Both DL and UAL have seniority calculators and the difference compared to JB is staggering.

I think they’re gonna get a wake-up call at some point soon. Like you said, it used to take a few years before people got disillusioned. At that point (generally around 3 years), a lot of people didn’t want to start over in seniority, pay, hiring process, or whatever. Now, they’re disillusion within the first year and it’s much easier to leave, especially in the current hiring environment.

Fair enough on the pay I only was comparing 12 year pay. Their operations are just as jacked as us. My friends at every carrier make the same complaints or I should say complain just as much about their operations. That's our industry right now unfortunately. My point with the wide bodies has more to do with options and opportunities that JetBlue just doesn't offer, no matter what WC promises.. on a personal note I appreciate chaos but then again us 12 year plus captains tend to be greedy..

Take this for what it’s worth but I heard they are ramping up hiring to 960 for this year moving forward!

I don’t even know how this would be possible. We can’t even train our current hiring schedule.

NOT A CHANCE. The 190 program is an absolute CF. The instructors are still great but the schedule is so Fd it’s not even funny. Some guys have had 11 events in a row CXd on them. I have had 4 so far. They are so far behind the power curve I don’t know what they will do.

Last two fo’s I’ve flown with are moving on. < 4 months on property. Higher 960 to keep 250. Unless they put out a solid contract, it will be a revolving door for the foreseeable future.

I never said anything about base pay rates...
