Fair enough on the pay I only was comparing 12 year pay. Their operations are just as jacked as us. My friends at every carrier make the same complaints or I should say complain just as much about their operations. That's our industry right now unfortunately. My point with the wide bodies has more to do with options and opportunities that JetBlue just doesn't offer, no matter what WC promises.. on a personal note I appreciate chaos but then again us 12 year plus captains tend to be greedy..
Wide-bodies are NOT the only reason dudes are leaving. ELT is telling Wall Street they will soon be margin leaders. There is PLENTY of financial bandwidth to provide the pilots with a contract worthy of keeping guys already on property, much less attracting plenty of new talent. Back in the day when SWA W2s were higher than most legacy pilots, they didn't have a big attrition problem, despite not having widebody aircraft...
Don't let them off the hook so easily by regurgitating their talking points.

Oil just surged another 7%, so we’ll see. Plus all the debt that needs to be paid off with rising interest rates. Things can change quickly in this industry. I personally have a not so hot feeling about the next few years.

As for the last sentence. I don't have a clue what talking points you are talking about. I have outlook sending all corp comm emails above CL's stuff right into it's own folder that I purge weekly.. Stopped reading that 💩 years ago.
We need not to concentrate on why people *who were going to leave anyway* are leaving, we need to concentrate on why this company is chasing away people who honestly intended to make a career here and are now second guessing it. The simple fact is that you are told that jetblue is different because it cares about you and because it provides a superior product. The reality is that, from day 3 of training, it is painfully obvious that you are on your own. Sure, you’ll get the “we appreciate you” lip service and some donuts, but the reality is that you’re out there slogging thru a garbage operation, day after day and trip after trip, and nobody is indicating that they’re actually interested in changing that. When you go thru 8 weeks of an absolute garbage experience in training only to find that every trip is a meltdown, when you’re surrounded by angry pax and flight attendants saying “i should have left years ago..,” and when captains are all telling you “if you have a chance to go to XYZ legacy, take it,” that eats your soul and makes you question why on earth you ever wanted to come here in the first place.

This was my final airline. I was sure of it.
All my apps are out and updated.
Sorry to hear that, man. I wanted this to be my last stop, too. Then I realized, minus the pay, life was better at my previous regional…
