Quote: Guys, im a little confuse with Frontier's PIC time policy for the application is it 500 121/135 time as captain PIC or just PIC meaning instruction counts? Thanks
500 PIC in a Piper Cub will do. A lot of guys that got their PIC flight instructing and then sat right seat in an RJ have been hired

Latest MEC update...no pay raise due to the economic conditions. That one is a head scratcher.
They want to cut our vacation.
This is going to be nasty withoutdoubt.

Happy early 4th.

Funny how quick they can get an LOA done when it suits them. Ie new efb LOA by sept to save them money. Hopefully this latest newsletter sways the optimists here into realism.

After this negotiation update our interview numbers should drop to zero. No one should interview here, let alone show up for a class date. Allegiant's ta is 40% higher pay then here. 40%!

This is very unfortunate. I was really hoping that our management had more integrity than this. I agree that this will reduce new hires and will also cause a lot of us to beef up our apps at the legacies. The hope for the best expect the worst mentality is now simply expect the worst! Sad!

As someone who is interviewing in a few weeks, what does this mean?

The company is asking pilots to take more cuts from an already concessionary contract, saying "economic conditions" mean they can't offer increases in pay without us making concessions in other areas. The latest ALPA email more or less calls them in their bs, but it is frustrating none the less. Our negotiations are going to be a battle over the next few years at this rate.

Don't even worry about it. If you get the job offer, then you can start thinking about this sort of thing. It's just airline stuff, anyway. Frontier isn't the only company in negotiations.

You should ask the how are they addressing the low pilot pay. Our current rates are $38 and $68 for 1st and 2nd year fo's. Allegiant's ta is $56 and $96.
Interview with your eyes wide open. We will soon be desperate for pilots. Do not sell yourself short. Ask tough questions and if they aren't willing to give you good answers say "thanks, but no thanks." There are plenty more jobs out there that are paying way more then ours.

Right now there are frontier crews doing single engine taxis, pulling trash out of the seat backs, grabbing strollers from the ramp and greeting passengers while wearing the optional and idiotic looking hat. These people are the reason why we get treated like crap from management. These people are happy to eat **** and stay at crappy hotels and get kicked in the balls over and over. The frontier group gets exactly what it deserves.
Anyone who comes here with any other intention than to get a type and get out is a genuine fool.
