Quote: $240 is your bottom number and our proposal is $245, so what am I missing?
You would vote no to $245/hr, 16%DC contribution, 5:15 Min day, 1-3:5 trig rig, 200% JA/VJA pay, 100% DH, $2.30/hr per diem, night and intl override, elimination of the working spouse and additional child surcharge, broadening and strengthening of Section 1. In all fairness, there has not been a ton of info about scheduling, vacation or sick time, but, no vote?? YGTBSM.
personally as a f9 pilot i am not going to say YES or NO bc management probably reads this, however 73/320 pay is rising and we are profitable airline that needs to be compensated accordingly.
LOA67 proposed rates seem to be so low compared to what is going on now with other airlines.

I believe the LOA67 interim pay proposal was intended to be MORE than reasonable, with the thought that an arbitrator would see it the same way. And awards from arbitration are typically retroactive (back to the date the grievance was filed). If we shot for the moon on the LOA67 interim pay proposal, the arbitrator likely wouldn't agree with those rate increases - instead it was MORE than reasonable and the arbitrator is more likely to side with the union's proposal. It's a game and the union is playing to win. So far I think the decision-making by our union has been excellent.

Do you really think that is where we're gonna be come vote time with those asks? YGTBFSM.

But yes, it's too low at this point in time.

Why does the union keep saying first or second quarter 2017 then?

Good question. I don't think there is any way that is going to happen. I've heard a BOD member saying it was going to take six months. That was probably six months ago. So.....

I sure hope I'm wrong though.

The union never said it would be completed first quarter of 2017. They said it was their goal to have a new contract within a year contingent upon Frontier management's co-operation. That obviously hasn't happened. The three years it took Spirit to get released is probably a good ballpark figure for us. Only 30 months to go! Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Excuse my naïveté here but perhaps the NMB would see past practices and not take 3 years to release us... the whole point of managements proposal to us was to drag this bs out... no dhd pay?? Ok we'll give you 75%... negotiating in good faith... no trip rig? Ok we'll give you 3.6:1... negotiating in good faith... no union input on hotels? Ok they have a say but the room can't cost more than $20/night.... negotiating in good faith... they can give us little things here and there and drag this out for a lonnnnnnng time... our only hope is someone on the NMB has some scruples and realizes the game they're playing... otherwise it's gonna be cat and mouse for many moons... indigo won't give us diddly poo until they absolutely HAVE to

I would agree with you and the similar sentiment of many here that this is the case, however, I truly believe that supply and demand for pilots is going to force the company's hand much sooner. This pilot group just needs to stay true to our resolve, and not settle for anything less than going rate for A320 pilots in the industry despite whatever threats and lies come our way from management.
