Quote: That's because in DTW RR are used to cover other airlines F ups. When I sat RR in DTW I was used as a reserve for BLOW JETS, Express JET, Sky worst, shuttle americas, and compass's, and I have even covered mainline F ups. The benefits of being wholly owned...we are the B**CH.
I'd call us the rock star, but I guess everone has a differnt prespective.

Quote: How can you say we're being paid well...have you seen the rate on the Delta contract for the 900? If they can afford to pay them that rate then they can afford to pay us MUCH better.
Quality whining. Our rates (including bonus) are among the highest in the industry. If you don't like it, quit and go to DL to fly their 900s or one of their other fine airplanes. If you cant or don't want to, then shut up and enjoy that you are paid more than your peers, have a good contract and are building a resume to allow you to fly at those higher rates at a major.

Mainline doesn't fly 900's for THAT reason.

Yeah and to get off rsv in dtw takes 10yrs on the 200. They use the rsvs every day on the 200 don't know how the 900 is tho.

You must be a company man drinking all the kool aid they give out. Not even close, our seniors guys still have not been restored back before bankruptcy. Then maybe we would be in the top. Quit your *****in.

No. I'm just intelligent enough to not whine about how we are poorly paid when statistically that just isn't true. If you don't get paid well enough, then go to the other operators who make more than us for the same equipment. Impotently whining gets you nothing, and calling people who disagree with you "company men" is just stupid. How have you not learned that by now?

Say what? On the FO side, it takes from a week to 2 months to get off RSV in DTW. Not sure on the CA side, but I know I have flown with newer CAs (less than 6 months) who are no longer on RSV.

10 years may have been the norm back in the old days.

Because that's Delta pilot contract, not Endeavor. Ofcouse Delta has the money to pay you guys the same as Delta pilots, if they were going to pay you the same as Delta pilots, why bother keeping the WO around? They would just bring everything in house. IF you can't do it for what Delta wants to pay, they'll find someone else.

A week? In DTW? Not right now. Unless it's taking 10-11 months to complete training.

Exactly, I think that regional pilots forget about how important scope is (and that they have NO control over it). Mainline pilots gave up scope in order to keep their airline profitable and keep higher wages by outsourcing. It created an entire industry that employed tens of thousands of pilots and gave them experience. Pay could have definitely been better but there wasn't a need. Pilots lined up down the street just to work at a below average paying regional. Things are slowly changing for the better!
