Quote: Source? About 9 in my new hire class want to get to ATL as soon as possible, and we chose the 200 because of that.
Right now ATL is 200 only, and if they open up a 900 base in ATL everyone will be able to bid for it, and it would go in seniority order. But no one has said the 900 is opening a base in Atlanta, so it's just speculation at this point.

And if a 900 base in ATL were to open the captain side would go super super senior and the FO side would probably see senior people bid it but new hires in theory could probably hold it after being here a little while.

MSP flying
From Page 3 of the fa bid package for July 2017

"Long term, CRJ flying will decrease in MSP and be upgraded to the 717. Replacement fill will be determined by Delta at that time."

WTF????

Correct, didn't mean to confuse you "slowroll".

WTF????
Delta established this earlier this year, which had everyone complaining about even more 900 flying being pushed out to NYC.

How much more of a reduction in flying can MSP take before there is no more... in addition.. in August... ATL becomes the base with the largest number of 200 flights.. guessing that reduction will come out of DTW... If there ends up being 1 layoff anywhere in the system.....

Not confused, just clarifying your blanket statement.

Never thought I would see the day where dtw and msp shrink. Something smells bad long term.

The honcho brigade last week even said ATL is going to build up at the expense of DTW and/or MSP... there are no active plans to comply with the ads-b mod on the 200 fleet (drop dead date 31Dec2019).. in mx job openings in dtw have been taken down from the company website (first step to prevent layoffs in the past.. not filling attrition openings)....the remaining 8 200s from EV for 2017 are no longer coming.... yet on the other side of the coin... rumor mill.. OO is getting the 700s from the DL side of EV and 9E is getting the 900s.... I just know in the 20 years I have been here.... I have seen this card trick before and it doesn't usually work out well... I hope I am wrong... but if it looks like a duck...

Agreed. Never a good sign when you are shrinking at your major Brand's number 2 and 3 hubs.
