Any announcement of loss of growth in 200's not immediately followed by a firm commitment of larger airplanes with 100% kill any kind of recruiting here.

Gotta have that Class 1 all the time.
I wear pants and shirts from a cut above. They only have a webstore and their stuff is a touch more expensive than the stuff in the stop over store but it is worth every penny. They are super comfortable and last a long time. Great customer service as well.

You don't have to have a First Class all the time. You have to start with a First Class and then iin six months it converts to a Second Class and that's all an FO needs at Endeavor. Feel free to call the company to confirm. I asked the COMPANY NOT APC same question two years ago.
And btw, if you're under 40 the first is good for a year since they changed the reg.

Sorry, but the answer is incorrect, Seminole. You have to have a Class I to get hired and go thru training, the same as a CA (because it is the same rating). But once you are working, it can lapse to a Class II while you are in the right seat.
For us older folks, that means you are Class I for 6 months, Class II for 6 months, and must get a new medical every year. For the younger crowd, it's every two years.

Has to be class 1. As far as shirts go they have a few different brands in the stop over store. You can get brands other than M&H. I've heard "a cut above" is a pretty good brand for shirts but I've only seen them online. Pants are the same way, guys get them from wherever. As long as they're black and fit no one really cares.

I got the same letter, but not at the 6-month mark, when mine lapses.
You will be pulled from the line if it lapses. Perhaps they know you are already CA material, so they just treat you like one?

If a portion of a trip gets pulled for OE and I call in sick for the flying that is left on my schedule how many sick hours are used? The total for the trip or just the amount that was left after the portion was taken for OE?

Rather than take advice from any of us keyboard warriors on APC though, take a gander at this:
FAR 61.23 (a) (2) is the part we are talking about.

There should be something about it in the 9E operations manual. Companies sometimes impose requirements that are more stringent that the FAA regulations, and if placed in the FAA approved manual, you are required to comply.

If I may offer some advice regarding the medical debate, I would always get and maintain a 1st class medical. Doing so would ensure there are no issues missed during a second class exam that would be uncovered by the first class exam and thus cause problems when upgrading.
I'm a little surprised 9E doesn't always require and pay for the first class for this exact reason. Airlines generally require FOs to always be prepared like captains so forgive me if this sounds a little unusual that they wouldn't do this for the medical.
