The C series has amazing STOL capabilities in addition to range and economy. Swiss just started using them in London City airport. My belief is that they are going to slowly replace all the 900s and maybe even 200 flying with the C Series. We will be irrelevant in about 3 years and they will just shut us down or sell this place. Any leverage that we will have in negotiations is right now. With every passing month that leverage is going to diminish. So forget about flow or significant pay increases as time goes by. This is a very well thought out strategy. This is a slow kimora or a blood choke.

Not outright , not instantaneously, but in a phased seamless way. A lot of the NE hubs are way too congested. This would make better use of the slots in NY. Better customer satisfaction. More creative routings from 2nd and 3rd tier airports to hubs, ease congestion. And if the operating cost of the C series, from what I have heard but dont know for sure is slightly more than the 200. Then it makes perfect sense.

DCI will be cut in half over the next 5 years, but won't go away. Customers give high reviews for the ERJ's.

Huh. I wonder if that'll be only on the 900 then. I don't know if we have room or resources to grow ATL200 yet. And by resources, are we going to start winding down MSP200 on this vacancy/realignment.

I think the 16 200s will be gone sooner than expected, as some just sit around all day anyway.

Plus I suppose the final award won't come till September, which means move dates likely pushed into November? I guess by that point we would have made progress on the announcement in regards to new 900s and consolidating 200s into DTW and ATL.
