Quote: No one really knows. It never culminated into anything. We really should have one at CPZ, seeing as there is still a flow down for DL pilots in the event of a furlough. It's very one-sided now. That flow down should, at the very least, warrant a guaranteed interview.
That's disappointing. Thanks for the info.

Quote: Lets try this question again. Why would a new hires initial base/equipment assignment somehow take precedence over what has been my number one standing bid now for multiple vacancies?
Are you *sure* your bid is set up correctly? I think on the vacancies there are emails to contact with questions. What category are you in and what do you want?

Quote: So after I got hired by Delta back in 2007, I flowed there, right?

It's a pool.
So are you calling the pilots who passed the Endeavor SSP pool pilots? Were the Compass pilots not pool pilots then after they passed the interview and started at Compass by mid-2010? Not that any of these terms really matter. The pilots at Compass passed the interview and placed in the flow group/Compass pool (some did the panel interview with a NWA captain and Delta testing BTW and before then NWA interview procedures) with a metering language in a similar language that Endeavor now has. The Compass pilots who also flowed were interviewed under NWA or Delta ownership, where NWA and Delta had the ultimate say in the process. The panel interview and Delta testing continued for quit some time with the premise of a guaranteed interview, but that never came to fruition. Mesaba pilots had the same thing before theirs ended. Fortunately for the Mesaba pilots that didn't get their flow, they got another crack at it with the SSP at Endeavor.

I just don't get why you think the Endeavor pilots, who have passed the SSP, are somehow much different than the Compass pilots that flowed. Both have metering language and no longer have to pass any more interview to start class at Delta. Both also are slotted in before off the street hires, which makes going to those respective regionals even better since you know the pilots above you will take up slots at Delta first.

This just seems like semantics anyways. The whole point I am trying to get at is that Compass was a good place to go up until 2015 since a large majority would be going to Delta and you would gain seniority quickly. Now Endeavor is a good place to go, since a large majority will be taking the top spots at Delta and gaining seniority will be much quicker.

That doesn't sound right at all. They are publishing average training times for upgrades now on vacancies and this is no where near the time they are publishing. I believe new hires only have an extra week of indoc. But that includes IOE too. I would call and ask someone but no way it is 10 weeks until the first day of IOE unless you get super lucky and get 3 weeks off before sim training or something.

No. Compass had a true flow. So did some of the Mesaba guys. That signifies having done one interview to hire on at airline you're at and then can flow to mainline on without a further interview.

Having passed another "mainline" (or whatever) interview and having to wait at your current company is normally referred to as being in the pool. There's even an entire thread dedicated to that to those floating and waiting to move on to DL. Many of the participants are those that have passed the SSP interview.

The way you're phrasing it can be quite misleading to those weighing their options given that true flows exist at some of the AA regionals.

I'm also interested at seeing how CPZ guys are treated going forward- a number have been hired recently via the regular interview process and are awaiting class dates (are they flows? ).

Those endeavor pilots that have a CJO from their interview through the SSP program do not hold a slot ahead of any off the street hires. If they did they would be on the seniority list at Delta. They are not on that list until their class date.

Sorry, I was thinking total footprint for training, including IOE, was 10 weeks. All depends on how well one does along the way, too.

Is AQP initial faster than non AQP?

404 will argue with you about this all day. He's the biggest endeavor cheerleader in probably the entire industry. Hopefully they're paying him.
