Quote: These numbers that are being referred to are FACTS publicly distributed by Envoy's pilot union.

Facts are like kryptonite to these "in the tank" with the company "pilots." Anytime public facts are referred to, these jokers get their panties in a wad and go on personal attacks. Because they don't have anything to refute them with. With that said, I would highly discourage potential Envoy pilots from believing anything Skyvector or go skers (both the same poster) posts on here. The information they provide is all spin.
I actually read more personal attacks from the "self anointed fact checkers" refuting the optimist on here. Everyone spins the facts to suite their agenda. You have also.

Awaiting the personal attacks and unprofessional name calling + acusations, and immature references because i choose to see positive aspects of things occuring NOW at ENY also like Skyvector.

Not true but coming from you that's hilarious. Thanks for playing

Quote: Facts are that our schedules are at all time lows at least on the EMB and CRJ. Days off are down to 2 in between 4 day trips. After 16 years with this place I still bid 4 day trips. Can't hold dailies...can't hold 2 day trips. We actually don't have either. Three day trips are nearly non existent. Your choice is 4 day, CDO or RSV regardless of your seniority. Much worse airlines have much better schedules. By my count the schedules have been deteriorating for about three years. For three years the pilots and union have been advocating for better trips. For years, YEARS we've told them to help us and themselves out. Finally they reassigned a few AAG dudes....after three years. Pardon me if I don't jump for joy. I was hoping to work two day trips again before flowing but 16 years in I will work 4 day trips until I leave...maybe with two days off in between. I'll be fortunate to see above 75 hours pay credit with partial weekends off. The temporary pay increases and bonuses and a good step in the right direction. A great second step would be to return to the historical norm of past schedules. A mix of dailies, two days, three day and four day trips. A fleet commitment past 40 aircraft would be a logical third step. These things aren't just about the pilots. They help the airline with morale, recruitment and efficiency.
This is a very clear and accurate picture of the schedules at Envoy.

I hear from two EVY buddies @ ORD who are line holders, and commuted on Rsv. They said its not THAT bad & it is true things can be better with the schedules, but its not so seriously bad that he would tell prospective Envoy pilots to "stay away." That schedules can be better of course. Both MY Friends commute, they are line holders now for a while. But they both have positive things to say & told me about some negatives. The positives far outweight the negatives. They enjoy their jobs and each say, "I really can't complain man."

Same for personal leave for immediate family being hurt or passing away. Plenty of time off given to my buddy. No questions asked!

Thats why i say some Characters on here..... smh. We are not enemies. Live long and prosper my friend. Be grateful! Enjoy life. Its all in the State of Mind. Be the great pilot group, fight where you need, take the crumbes where you can, and before you know it you'll have a loafs size sooner rather later.

MEC, Sched committee said improvements are on the way, GREAT! Promulgate that!!!!!!! Such distrust on the positives? Trust the negative, think you can do his job? Hate it so much? Think you can do a better job faster? Then volunteer, learn the ropes, and run for a union position or chairman and change things!

Nobody said Envoy or any Regional is a Utopia. If anyone does, they are liars.

We all value your insights, especially new folks like me. But we hear so many negatives! So so so many negatives! But not enough of the positives.

Waiting for the "you have 0 experience. Your clue-less. Your managmenent. Your dumber than i though. Your entitled generation. You must be in recruiting dept. Your a fool. You have no experience in the regionals." crap to be spewed instead of the brighter side of my comments.

I have flown with commuting FO's for years as our schedules have deteriorated. Commuting FO's with kids at home. Now they get to try to commute, many working uncommutable trips with two days off in between. Maybe you're friends are new to the industry or single. To either group I can see how they say "it's not that bad." Bad is probably all they have known. The norm is much better than what we currently have. My Fo found 2 lines that were commutable and high time for October. I guess "it's not THAT bad".

Trying to get some insight. New FO considering a lateral move from another regional, with the incentives Envoy's now offering.

Reserve rules/ schedule?
Health insurance for a single guy- what insurance company- good coverage?
Commuter clause?
Any differences in upgrade times depending on airframe?
ORD probable out of training? How long to hold DFW?
How long to hold a line-- ORD?-DFW?

From the looks of it schedules aren't great. Are 3 consecutive days off totally unheard of?

Thanks in advance and good luck with everything.

Wow this silentlurker is here spinning it like it's his job or something. Amazing. What bothers me is that some kid that doesn't have any friends or mentors in the industry may make a decision based on his optimism. That would be a shame.

Hey beef,

We would love to have you. I'll help with what I can.
RSV rules: Unfortunately the company is pre assigning its pilots to 4am RAP on day one. This blows for obvious reasons. We're waiting on a ruling from an arbitrator. Schedules are typically 4 or 5 on 3 off. Most get used every day. The RSV flying isn't tedious. A lot of lost overnights and 1 leg first days.
Insurance: don't know premiums for single guys. Insurance is ok. Our contribution % is contractually increasing yearly by 1% a year I believe.
Commuter: 2 flight commute policy. This generally works well. It's not been a hot button issue.
Upgrade: Currently the ORD CRJ is the junior upgrade. DFW EMB145 is close behind. Expecting another vacancy in October and this could change quickly.
Base selection: If you take the 145 you can easily get DFW.
Line: DFW 145 is Feb 2014. ORD 145 is Jan 2015. ORD CRJ is Aug 2015. DFW 175 is Apr 2016.
3 days off: To me it seemed like out of 154 lines on the 145 in DFW more than half had 2 days off in between trips. The 70 some that did have some 3 days off in between weren't all 3 days off in between. They had some two days off mixed in. So maybe 50 lines or 1/3 of the lines are 3 days off. Those 3 day lines are mostly 14 day off. The two day off trips are 11 day off. Out of those decent 50 lines at least half are built to or below guarantee. Then you have the other metrics...commutability, weekends off etc.

Hope this helps.
