But if we do take them that is a good chunk of growth. Look this gets down to glass half full /half empty or both. I could also say they end up ordering more. But my point was the company is not done growing.

Anyway you guys can have at it. I'm didn't want to get into one of these and here I am. I corrected my error so I'm done with all these hypothetical fleet plans.
Don't give up so easy! Hyperboy and Southerner can't do ALL the pro-JB posts. Well, yeah, they probably could.

Kidding, mostly.

Not crazy negative <> all pro JB. But that doesn't fit your narrative.

Quote: Your concerns about JB and its [mis]management are completely founded. I have serious doubts about the future of this place too. BUT I have much deeper doubts about the future of every single regional airline out there. Probably should bail out, come here and get a new type then bail for an airline that treats you with respect and pays appropriately at your earliest chance. Welcome aboard. It's nice to have new hires that are immune to the blue juice.
It's also nice to know that their are plenty of pilots that are immune to YOUR professional advice and doom and gloom. Are you going to financially back these pilots if they make the wrong decision since you seem to know everything. Our profit margins are higher than Delta and we are the 6th most profitable airline in the world. This airline makes plenty of money. It is not broken. Many volunteers are working very hard toward our first contract including mediation.

I enjoy working at JetBlue and this company...I know I am an idiot for liking it here! I also am looking forward and working toward a fair and equitable contract.....

You may be wrong too HB. Nothing has been presented to us and we have no reason to believe that B6 will do anything constructive. When you compare B6 to Delta, be sure to compare contracts and then explain why we shouldnt be telling guys to keep their options open.
You're not an idiot for liking B6- I like the guys I work with, but Im tired of the dishonesty and deception that management pulls daily.
Ive spoken to you and you sound more reasonable than you post--Maybe we all do Hope all is well.

Totally agree
You should always keep your options open. There is nothing wrong with that. I bet our CEO and ELT does exactly that.

Of course they do. They don't have to start at the bottom of a seniority list when they switch companies.

Something to keep in mind with aircraft deliveries...

Right now as we're taking deliveries of new aircraft, others will be going offline for the cabin refit. So the staffing will be slower until the refits are done.

Also, we're obviously still hiring and growing. Lots of classes scheduled this fall to my knowledge.

"Refit" delayed again. No known start date.

Maybe that's their backwards way of staffing this place for a CBA. I'm sure that's not it and I've been told they paused it because inflight hates it but who knows.

As far as a timeline to implementation of work rules that would effect staffing, none of that information has been released from the negotiating committee. Everything is negotiable and it's not our problem if the company can't fly the full schedule because of inadequate staffing. They can try to plan ahead and hire more guys now. Or they can wait and see what they'll need. If you've experienced an IROP here you know how they'll handle that choice.
