The new hires in the pipeline who have done the math would thank you to not advocate for them if your math is this bad.
A new hire looking to spend 4 years at skywest before moving on stands to make an extra $200,000 in those 4 years if we vote this in. You are arguing for the $10,000 someone who just finished up 4 years at skywest has received. Now say mr. New hire is tragically at a nice place like skywest for 4 full years under the new TA vesting in nearly 20k. How noble.

News flash everyone at every airline who’s a line holder has turned into a ready reserve. When I worked at SkyWest I did not mind being reflowed in the middle of a trip because you always finished before your original scheduled trip. I HATED ready reserve. 8 hour sits at the airport is the same as a prison sentence because you’re the final option so you never get called. Just sit and stare at walls all day, just brutal.
Why is MESA still 11 days off for line holders? The answer is they’re at critical staffing levels and any give on time off takes 800 pilots and shrinks their availability more. Not a winning strategy and I don’t think any of the regionals will give out much quality of life gains. I think some of you guys are dreaming. Want more time at home? Apply to a Major.
Also doesn’t MESA routinely Jr. man their pilots into off days? So I’d argue it’s not even guaranteed 11 off. Hey at least you get 60% for the deadhead pay back home. Then you can take industry low DH pay and apply it your industry low 401k 3% match for the first 1-9 years.

we are on the prior contract. Still in negotiations. Days off May change.
jr assignment is voluntary. You can say no.
it’s paid at 200 pct. (300 if that’s being offered) Including deadheads if you are jr assigned.
if you accept jr assignment on a Golden day you get the day off back regardless of days off. If not a golden day if you are taken below 11 you are given an additional day off.

It's not like if you vote no, SkyWest isn't going to come back and offer you more. They're just trying to get you to accept less, they're trying to get this to pass by 51% and nothing more, and you're trying to help argue their case instead of the pilot's case. Not a great look for you tbh.

Vote ends 2000 MT today (22nd). An email that was put out said the 23rd at the latest. I'm guessing it depends on how busy the person tasked with publishing the results is, and if it takes some time to generate any emails/info they want to accompany the results.

That's completely besides the point. The company is going to pay that much at a minimum, they're just trying to take as much back from the pilot group while they do it.

You are really confident they have no other levers to pull outside a TA.

The amount of pilots dismissing these rates in favor of a pony is shocking. We’ll find out tonight.

The fed came out yesterday with another interest rate hike and stated more to come, Powell also said it’s going to be painful and layoffs are coming in order to get the overheated market under control.

“Fellow Pilots,
The 2022 TA voting concluded this evening at 2000 MT. We want to thank each of you who took the time to participate in this vote!
With the ratification of this agreement, we want to remind everyone of a few key items. Firstly, the pay scales will be retroactive to September 16th. Secondly, the two-week eligibility timeline to submit an upgrade bid and still qualify for the $20,000 upgrade incentive has begun (must submit the bid prior to the close of business on October 7th). While the ratification of this contract has addressed wages, SAPA will be continuing to work on the enhancement of work rules based on your feedback.
The vote breakdown is as follows:
There were 3828 (91%) participants (of 4204 total eligible voters):
Accept 2022 TA 2537 (66.3%)
Reject 2022 TA 1291 (33.7%)”
