Nope, haven't gone to loftes. Squatters downtown is a good time tho!
Did the senior guys get a chance to pick if they wanted the delay or not? I'm really hoping for no delay between systems and sim. I just want to get 'er done...

You guys started July 28, correct? So 3 weeks for systems and indoc, sounds about right...

I kind of chuckle every time I hear/see someone say that [their airline] has the worst crew scheduling.

That's just how people are.

Just like everyone claims their city has the most random weather patterns.

Oh man, don't like the weather in [insert city], wait 30 minutes it'll change! It's summer one day winter the other.

I've seen people say that from Edmonton, to Ft lauderdale up to Portland maine even over in san francisco. everyone claims that about their city just like everyone claims their airline has the worst scheduling EVARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It's probably the same at all regionals nowadays. Some have better contracts than others. Especially when it comes to reserve. That will make it vary on what they can and can't do with you. However, when they can do something with you, it's probably all the same...the suck.

Skywest is my third regional and the crew support here is 110% more respectful and professional, but they do have their issues. Line holders here give way to much in the way of reflows and cancellation reserve. OO has no Jr man so if you don't want to fly on your day off they can not make you.

Reserve rules here are a joke. They are industry leading as in the worse in the industry.

What is it that makes the rsv rules so bad?

As someone who has about two years of reserve experience at OO, and several months of holding a line. It's like working for different companies, being on reserve and not. I would rather hold a line with crappy four days all month then put up with the crap of Crew Support.

CS creates and modifies policy as it goes along, SAPA likes to pound it's chest and talk about small improvements, but the truth is CS will continue to operate as it did before. It's an all out battle on reserve. Holding a line is a totally different animal.

It's a good place to be but the reserve rules need to be re-written. Anyone thinking of coming here gunning for a senior domicile should definatly give this some consideration when making your choice.

The thing that makes reserve really bad is all the new hires will do what ever crew support tells them even if it's against policy. Reserve is a little better when you finally tell them NO!!
