Yes. Transfer as soon as possible. If they train you all the way through line check, even if you transfer out and back in, you'll be reflowed to do aspen stuff. Try to not get trained at all if you wanna avoid it.

That being said, I love aspen. But on the jr side, it can literally mean the difference of reserve with 12 days off while your peers are in pbs making 95 hours with 14+ off. Huge pay and qol cut.

ok cool, i'll try and bid for COS and PHX if i can. My training starts in middle october so hopefully i can transfer out in november before I finish. Any recommendations on where to avoid going to aspen?

Anywhere but den if you wanna avoid aspen. You can just transfer back in in December when they start aspen flying more heavily. If you're not quald you won't fly it.

COS does not so ASE. Only DEN pilots do ASE. If you are planning on transferring to a different base to get out of ASE, you should probably let them know and they'll take you out of ASE training.

Transfered out and never flew it. Skywest doesn't care because they don't pay for the training, united does.

yea it sucks, was just about to hold a line next month so I was excited to fly a bunch.. ugh
