It's pricey but it's a quality jacket and well worth it in the winter. A sweater won't cut it in Calgary in the middle of winter.

With the blazer you can also get the all weather overcoat.
Single-Breasted Overcoat - Uniforms - Products

Keep in mind that the hat is required when wearing the overcoat.

I got the leather jacket and am pretty impressed with it. It's definitely heavy duty.

Yes, the leather jacket looks great Pro Aviator ? Perrone Apparel

So I guess we don't need the hat if we wear the epaulets on the leather jackets?

Ok thanks for that. Do people usually wear the hat? It was never popular at my previous airline.

Just heard a rumor that a new "quit and come back with some pay bennies" policy was just signed. What's the deal with this? Do they think anyone will come back??

I couldn't imagine wearing the sweater with how poorly some run the ECS.

This new rehire policy is an amazing thing for this pilot group.
Those rehired retain prior longevity pay, but start over at the bottom of the seniority list.

Unfortunately this communication seemed to incorrectly use the word seniority for longevity. I'm sure a few pitch forks will be grab and small rabbles formed until it's cleared up.

Though everything is 🌹, my suspicions of this opening a distant and remote door for part 91 flying down the road has my attention. Something to guard.

The loss of medical insurance is a big bright spot coming down the pike for this pilot group too.
