(There certainly are things we can get away with in a turboprop that you can't in a turbojet, so I can see why they'd focus on jets only) And can someone who had used mil leave tell me a bit about the process? Likes and gripes.

Much appreciated.
Just submit your leave and you get it off. I've never been denied

It had gone over 4100, I watch it pretty closely for no particular reason.

Where would one find a copy of the pilot contract, agreement, or whatever it is called?

As an FO you should be able to transfer into either base on a monthly basis, so if you feel like changing your mind you can with little trouble.
Thanks for the info, I suppose I'd lean towards getting higher seniority faster, even if the schedules aren't great at first. The recruiters were mentioning that a lot can change by the time I finish IOE but that as of right now DTW would fit my desires the most.

Since DTW is a new base, is it going to be temporary? Did SkyWest pick up routes that were previously operated by Endeavor or some other regional? I had assumed they'd grow DTW as long as they can staff it.

Any insight as to crj reserve times at ORD? Was asked a couple of pages ago, but no replies. I have been told it is now like 9 months where it was almost nonexistent a month or two ago.

3/28/16 hire just got composite line awarded in ORD,
so 9 months sounds about right.
its horse**** about nonexistent reserve for at least since April. That's pretty much last time reserve coverage was below 10% on a CRJ side, since then it's only getting higher, probably except couple of months during busy summer months.
DTW, FAT probably the only bases now where newhire CRJ FO could expect a line withing 6 months, everywhere else it'll be 9+ months, until we magically get a lot of new contracts. Even in MSP people on reserve forever nowadays.
PS I might be wrong and everything will change in a couple of months, but that what I see based on my class.

This is certainly news to me. What was the DOH for the most junior DTW lineholder?

SFO FAT and PSP will hold line fastest. Im feb hire and had a full line since sep. composite in AUG. An april hire just got a composite line for Dec. PSP classmate full line in AUG. Another classmates couldnt hold DTW last month due to IAH guys transfering in. Not sure what it looks like for him this month.

It was two months early 2016; now it's roughly four months.
