Get some attendance letters in your personal file so that you will have to stick around.

Hey SGU! Whatever you do, do not consider taking the 30-40 extra 175 FO reserves you have in ORD and maybe TDT a couple of them to SFO, PDX, DEN or SEA. Do not even think about spreading them out to make someones commute better or maybe have 2 or 3 extra reserves above the minimum so that someone could drop a trip through Sched+. Keep all the minimums high so you have to do all transactions manually. Then TG can tell everyone what a great job you are doing!!

so freaking true ^^^^

Really? You are out with flu, you get one of these letters, and UA won't hire you?

Calling bullsh*t. I can see if your "file" is thick with these, but having ONE of these in your file won't keep you from escaping the temple.

Check your facts, sport. That's not how it works.

Except for you. For you, I hope it works that way.

This is by far the dumbest thing I've read in here in quite some time... I had to call out sick A LOT during the first part of this year. Eventually I received an email that said I should contact my chief pilot about it, which I did. He said they just wanted to make sure that people calling out sick on a frequent basis are ok, and if they need assistance of any kind. After we talked about my situation for 20 secs, he said no problem, get better and don't worry about it.

There are genuine things we need to work on here, but it really doesn't help when people like you are claiming weird things that aren't even remotely true.

Disagree. Called in sick/emer 2 times in 2 years. One was a family death. Cp accosted me and pressured me until he realized I told him all about the emergency call.

RG is one of the best CP at Skywest, if I got a letter like that I'd go in there with confidence that it would be ok. CM in MSP is very solid too. They care if something is up, but they also care about the operation and want to make sure people aren't abusing the leniency the company has shown in the past.

should be interesting to see how skywest benefits from delta giving republic their bankruptcy DIP financing. Last time delta did this (colgan) AA and UA got screwed

Wasn't one of the guys that was on the Brasilia vs Jetway incident sick? I seem to remember the FAA being all over flying while sick for a while there.
These meetings/letters are going to scare some people into not calling in.
What's that saying about history being destined to repeat itself?

It was the FO that was sick and called CS in Carlsbad saying he would help the company by flying the leg to lax then would need to be replaced on the trip once in Lax. This was an ideal practice unless you were really sick, so you could get home while not canceling flights at an outstation. In this incident it burned the two pilots and the company, causing the FAA to come down on all parties and change policy at Skywest.

Were his initials MH? If so he's the one that told me I obviously don't understand the fatigue policy.
