Skywest is a really good company, I've been here for 6 years, I drive to work, make about over 115k with just minimal amount of effort and basically get all the days off I need. I have friends at Mesa, Gojet, commutair, psa and expressjet and the stories I hear are pretty horrifying, even in the regional market that we live in. The pay package was BS, and it should not have passed, but you can blame that on all the junior guys. But who can blame them, they want to ride the quick upgrade train as well. People coming on here bashing OO have no idea what they're talking about.

$115K? I can't work that out on the published hourly rates - how do you make up the rest?

When you get overworked 95 hours every month it's pretty easy

That's about right. Holiday pay, bonuses, etc. You typically credit a bit more than scheduled block. Even more if you count 401k match.

I'm a little more senior and make $125k. And I never pick stuff up. If I played the schedplus game and traded all my trips for OT I could make $180k.

Yes and no. Who knows. Rumor bases are always a mystery.

What's your monthly credit? Making $125k while never picking anything up would be tough even at the top of the pay scale. If PBS assigns 95 hours, that's kind of like picking stuff up in a sneaky sort of way by the company

elmetal 08-16-2017 04:35 AM

It's completely normal to have 90-95 assigned with 12-13 off here... Look at ord bid transparency. Or any other base. Top 25% do well, everyone else meh.
