I think it looks worse than it is. Every upgrade will create secondary vacancies in the right seat. Hopefully that means that those displacements are inflated bit. Who knows though... maybe the SWAPA projection already takes that into account.

Ha...nice to see a ray of sunshine...but the SWAPA numbers takes into account secondary vacancies.

Things will just be unsettled until we have upgrades and new hires.

I would not read too much into this bid, it's the first upgrade bid in almost 2 years I believe. No doubt many lances will be bidding upgrade because almost all have their 12 months already. After a few good months of upgrades we will see where it settles out to.

So I’m drawing a blank on how to look at the vacancy bid projection on the SWAPA website and figure out hire dates based on seniority number. The SWAPA projection obviously uses seniority numbers given when hired but the seniority list on CWA just makes a list of current pilots and gives a “seniority” number in numerical order.

From SWAPA the junior CA award projection is for seniority number 624X.
When looking at the CWA seniority list, 6240 is a JUL ‘15 hire. There is no way upgrade is falling to that junior, so where do I find a list with the correct seniority numbers?

Those numbers are the OG seniority number given when hired. A 62xx number is equivalent to a 85xxx seniority number, roughly.

I’m late ‘15 and am like a 86xx seniority number. You can see what yours is on CWA when you hit display schedule.

I know that but where can you find a full seniority list with the original numbers and not the CWA ones?

and I think you meant 62xx is equivalent to a 85xxx employee number right

Monthly base vacancy seniority list by base I think is as close as your going to get. Looking for the whole SL with a reference to the OG seniority # assigned at DOH might be a tech debt dealio.

Ok thanks. That’s how I was doing it but hoped there was an easier way. Just another tech debt problem that will probably never be fixed

It's gonna go senior for guys that are still FOs. For those that already upgraded, there will be more movement. This is because FOs can't displace captains. They can come in above IF THERE IS A VACANCY THEY CAN HOLD, but they can't displace captains. So of the 85 vacancies being filled, they are going senior. The rest is just a shuffle of the other captains, no matter how junior.
