So I submitted an app to the October window, that submission still shows "Submission Received," however I applied this morning to the new window, updated my profile / etc, was successfully submitted. I just double checked the career portal and it says todays new submission is already "Closed/complete." Any clue what that means? (Beyond the obvious.) I'd assume if the computer didn't like my app, it would've tossed the October window application as well.

No one can say with 100% certainty, but it sounds like to me there is something in your application that is precluding selection by the computer. Have you done a prep service/app review?

They made some changes in Pilot Credentials, so the first thing to do is to go in there and verify all the questions in the Questionnaire are answered. They modified the checkride failures question, and previously entered answers are gone, so it's very important to re-enter any checkride failures.
Once Pilot Credentials is good, then apply at the careers website.

Yup. They changed questions 10, 11, and (I think) 12. Those answers used to require explanations. But now they just want dates and aircraft types for failed check rides. My original lengthy explanations were still in there
. I’ve been applying for so long that I over looked that. And I’m an attention to detail kind of guy. It was embarrassing in the virtual interview.
