Here, let me give you some gouge.

Yaw damper, fuel pumps, window heat, hyd pumps, auto brake and check the takeoff configuration warning a minimum of 5 times before each departure.

Sort of...there isn't an expectation you will be perfect in the left seat. I remember some accommodations being made for this, but I'll let someone speak to how it is handled today. Bottom-line, its no big deal. It is very very hard to fail training at SWA.

I know the plan is to move to Captain/FO pairings at some point.

Make sure to slam each throttle violently to the stop when do your takeoff configuration warning. And keep the donut in the circle until the FO says "minimums" then land the plane.

And when the marshaler says to stop at the gate, hit the brakes so hard that the whole plane rocks back and forth for at least ten seconds.

And be sure to advance the throttle well into the takeoff warning horn range when the FO is reading back the runway crossing clearance after landing. The ground controllers love it.

Laughed way too hard at this! I don't know why that's a thing here.

No, and you will enjoy new hire class. Some enjoy it a little to much

guilty. I still passed even with a time ratio of Anatole pool bar to studying tipped way too far toward the former.

Make sure to start issuing your next command while the FO is still reading back the clearance too.
