Just curious if anyone in here has been moved into the 1/11 new hire class date that was created late this week. I moved up from the 1/25 and in contact with a couple of others that were offered the opportunity as well. Sounds like this class will be small. Not quite sure why it was added but glad to have the opportunity.

Slow your roll! You will have a lot of time to review stuff over and over and over. Enjoy time with your family until then. Congrats on the move up—even one class earlier will pay seniority dividends.

That's true until it isn't. I can consistently hold the top 3-4 blanks and so there was a period of time where I was bidding them frequently.
Sometime last year, planning decided to cut the number of blanks, increase the number of reserves, and absolutely pack the blanks with flying. They were all 80 plus blocking, max flying day trips that bled over into weekends and monthly overlap.
I was the number two blank and I could have basically spun a wheel and bid the number that came up and the result was basically the same.
They just increased the available reserves again in November through March, resulting in basically the same thing, but now it is spread around to hard lines as well.
