If you are squeezing the baloon guy then yes it seems that the captains are crying foul. I assumed there were more inflating the baloon guys who want everyone to get more...espcially for the FO's who are younger and will have way less time at years 2-6 than years 6-40. Perhaps I misjudged and there are more squeeze the baloon guys.

INFLATE THE BALOON!!!
I must have triggered a bunch of you. I never said I think there should be pay disparity between FO’s and CA’s.

I am just calling out the hypocrisy. If you as a CA would be ****ed off if FO’s got a bigger bump, you should have been an automatic NO when the last contracts hurt the FO’s pay scale. If squeezing the balloon is wrong it should be wrong on both counts. FO’s voting yes is irrelevant to the issue.

Wrong is wrong. History says CA’s are ok with wrongs in the pay scale so long as it doesn’t affect them. Don’t bite the messenger, I am just clearly stating the history here.

Idk why everyone is worried about what OAL make? For me the pay will be what I think I'm worth/want.
idk about y'all but everything I buy now is 50% more than what it was a couple yrs ago. That's my benchmark, not what deltas 757 rate is. My value is not based off of what someone else negotiated.

History proves that the majority of SW pilots (not just CAs) have been OK with industry lagging "wrongs", that affect all of us.

Maybe some of use don’t want anything to do with WB and drive to work. Why should I give up a great QOL for a crappy one just so I can make $2-3 more an hr and say, “hey, I get free dry cleaning for this Admiral’s blazer!”

Pay me more than any other 737 pilot and fix our problem areas and I’m happy. If I wanted to go to UAL/DL…I would have. If your kid is happy here, leave him alone. If he wants to leave, he would. You’re the one who sounds miserable and might benefit from a 1 yr upgrade somewhere else. 🤷🏼‍♂️

This thread is comical. Leaked info from an "insider" has guys arguing about FO pay and casting their no votes already. As someone said on the SWAPA forum, I am a single issue voter and that issue is the whole contract.
It's been 3 years, another week isn't going to kill you.
A sweet widebody pay rate doesn't mean sh!t without the contract language to make it pay. The company could gut language somewhere and give a sweet 767 rate and you chumps would drool all over the same paycheck you would have been getting at a lower rate.
Wait for the actual language.
Make an educated choice.
